nine dots: a day in nine
Nine moments, one quiet diary
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Keep your day as nine moments.
When something happens, take a photo. It becomes a circle, and you decide how big that moment was. Up to nine a day. The circles drift across the screen like balloons.
Tap Timeline and your nine circles line up in the order you took them, forming the number 9. For a moment you'd rather not photograph, leave it as a soft color instead.
Write the rest in words: a title and a few lines, keywords, your mood and the weather.
SONG OF THE DAY
Save one song a day. Type a title, pick it, and it stays with its cover. The app doesn't play it. Tap it to open your own music app.
MONTH
Look back on a month through a calendar, songs and photos. Every moment of the month floats on one screen, or open them day by day. Days you didn't write stay empty. That's rest, not failure.
CIRCLE
Invite up to nine close people to share your days. They see only yesterday, one page, with its photos. There is no feed to scroll.
To read others, you write too. Only people who wrote yesterday or today can read. No spectators.
After reading, you can send one word, once, only to them. No likes, no comments.
SHARE
Turn a finished day into an Instagram Story: floating circles, the number 9, your diary page, or a 5-second video of your moments drifting.
ON YOUR HOME SCREEN, iPAD AND MAC
A widget shows today's circles. Tap it to take the next photo. On iPad and Mac, nine dots opens wide, with everything side by side.
YOU DECIDE WHEN YOUR DAY ENDS
Midnight is society's line. Some days end at 2 a.m. Set your own.
WHAT THIS APP DOESN'T DO
No streaks. No completion rates. No monthly reports analyzing you. No reminders nagging you to write. No likes, no followers.
Your writing leaves your phone encrypted. Even we can't read it. Original photos stay on your phone.
nine dots is made by Nonsense of Rhythm, observing people who live by their own rhythm on top of society's.
