Explore is here. One tab now holds Events, Activities, Rentals, Marketplace and the Map — everything happening on your island, posted by the people who run it. Post a reel and choose what it is: standard, event, activity or product. Events can repeat on several days a week, like every Tuesday and Saturday. Marketplace listings show how many are left and whether you collect or it ships. Also in this update: venue pages load faster and show clean links, and shared posts now open the post itself.

Calendars, redesigned. Browse what's on by day, with a week strip that tells you where the events are, and filters that fit the screen. Recurring events. Post a weekly market or a Sunday service once and it appears every week, until the date you choose. Every video about an event, in one place. Open an event to see what people posted about it, who runs it, and what it costs. Events now have a real owner. Claim one you run, or hand one over — every change is recorded. Creators earn when someone buys through their video. Faster images and fewer loading failures, plus fixes to the Follow button and video playback.

Save any reel or photo to your phone — your own or someone else's — so you can repost it anywhere. Delete a message and it leaves a clear "This message was deleted" in the chat. Send a view once photo that opens one time, send videos in chat, and record a clip without leaving the conversation. Faster video loading, and bookings no longer fail when the app is busy.

Delete a message and it leaves a clear "This message was deleted" in the chat, so the other person knows something was there. Send a view once photo that can be opened only one time. Send videos in chat, and record a clip without leaving the conversation. Videos now start almost immediately instead of loading slowly on mobile data. Smaller fixes: collections save correctly, a shared post link always opens the right page, and a video no longer plays under a chat you have opened.

A faster, fuller map: it opens where the places are, pins appear sooner, and the venues load immediately instead of after you move the map. You can now send videos in chat, alongside photos. And the feed no longer shows an error when the connection drops — it keeps playing what it already has.

Profile photos now appear on notifications, so you can see who is reaching out at a glance. Videos start playing straight away instead of waiting to load. Smoother feed throughout.

Chat got the biggest update: react to any message (double-tap for a heart), reply with the message you're answering shown above your keyboard, delete your own messages, and watch the typing dots actually appear. Sending a photo or a voice note works again. Comments are easier to close, and replying to a comment now shows you what you're replying to. Reels play when you tap the middle of a paused video, and opening a reel from a profile keeps the navigation bar. Notifications arrive with their own island sounds, DMs land in their own conversation instead of one merged thread, and the number on the app icon now matches what's actually unread. Names save with their capitals, profile photos appear right away, dates follow your language, and the keyboard capitalises what it should - captions and names - and leaves search boxes and email alone. Camera: the app could close when you left it with the camera open - switching apps, locking the screen, taking a call. It releases the camera earlier now, and a quick glance at the app switcher no longer throws away a recording you were partway through. Leaving the app no longer sends a burst of false error reports from the connections iOS closes behind us, and photos no longer reload from scratch every time you come back to the app.
