AI Quota is an independent macOS menu bar app for tracking Claude and ChatGPT/Codex usage.

For live ChatGPT/Codex analysis, AI Quota reads usage counters, rate-limit data, task state, and event timing from the .codex folder you explicitly select. Conversation content is not sent to the developer's server.
Claude account usage is retrieved through the official Claude sign-in page displayed inside the app. AI Quota cannot read your password and does not store it in its own database.
For live Claude Code analysis, AI Quota reads only token counts and event times from project logs in the .claude folder you explicitly select. Local activity monitoring remains available if the account session is temporarily interrupted. Conversation content is never displayed or sent to the developer's server.
Values are based on usage information available from each service and local activity signals. Live rate and projected times are estimates and may move earlier or later than the provider's final accounting.
AI Quota is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OpenAI or Anthropic. Provider interface changes may interrupt some features.

The menu bar now shows usage only for connected AI services. Empty Claude indicators are gone, and the sign-in prompt appears only when no services are connected. The popover now closes when you click outside it. We also improved Claude usage response handling and sign-in detection for more reliable usage updates.
