Duo trackers • Fixed the 15 ft unit on device 2 going silent when you pressed Ready to Bowl. • Target board and miss room are now set per lane, and the miss room range is wider. • Indicator colours are re-sent every time you arm, so they are right from the first shot. Bluetooth • A tracker that stops reporting is now noticed and reconnected automatically, instead of sitting there looking connected. Ball motion simulator • Corrected pin carry. Pins that leave the deck through the channel now behave like pins on the pit floor, which is what they are — messengers and carry read properly again. Find My PAP • Clearer thumb and thumbless prompts, and LF / RF / TH are labelled properly.

The simulator now throws the ball the way you actually throw it. Set your loft and the ball carries down the lane on the line you picked — not off to the side — then lands and rolls. Lay down anywhere out to the 49 board: move outside the lane and the loft you need is worked out for you, so the ball clears the channel and comes down on the lane instead of in it. Ask the Doctor for a line from out there and he’ll set it up the same way, loft included. Also in this update: • The Doctor finds your ball. Ask about a ball by name and he’ll find it in the catalogue instead of telling you it isn’t there. • Save simulated shots from Plan a Layout, not just from your own arsenal. • Your question count is back on the Doctor’s band, and you can top up whenever you like rather than waiting until you run out. Bought questions never expire and roll over month to month. • More realistic pinfall. Pin-to-pin contact, deflection and carry were rebuilt — the rack reacts to where the ball actually enters and how hard, so a light hit leaves what a light hit leaves. • A faster, steadier simulator with a number of fixes to the ball motion engine.

This build is about accuracy and reliability. FIXED — Ball layout from a photograph The VAL angle was being reported as its supplement: a ball laid out 45° × 4" × 35° read back as 145°. The pin-to-PAP distance, drilling angle and pin buffer were always correct — only the VAL angle was affected. If you measured balls recently, check them. Any ball showing a VAL angle above 90° has the wrong number saved. Open it, tap Calculate Layout and tap Done, and it will recalculate from the marks already on the photo. FIXED — Duo sensor calibration Calibration could fail on some phones and work perfectly on others, with nothing on screen to explain it. The sensor's reply was being lost in transit whenever it arrived in more than one piece, which depended entirely on the phone's Bluetooth connection. The app now reassembles those messages properly, on every device. FIXED — Add Layout on a measured ball Add Layout sent you to the layout planner instead of back to the ball's own photograph, for any ball whose PAP came from your profile rather than from that ball's oil ring. It now opens the photo, with the markers where you left them. IMPROVED — When a layout can't be calculated Saving a ball that the app can't yet measure a layout from used to end quietly, with no explanation. It now tells you exactly what is missing — the grip markers, or a PAP — and what to do about it. Practising with your own equipment in the game remains part of a My Specs subscription. The pro shop, and everything else in the game, stays open to everyone.

Revive one in the pro shop to buy half of that back. - Real pinfall and ball-roll audio, matched to the shot. - Your games are recorded and kept. Play money is not a currency and has no value outside the game. The Lab is free; optional in-app purchases are available. Also in this release: the surface slider now works any time no game is running, and a ball with no layout can no longer be thrown — pick one on the planner or measure it with the camera.

PATTERNS THAT LOOK LIKE PATTERNS Oil patterns are now drawn the way a real pattern sheet prints them — in blocks with square corners — everywhere in the app. Modify a pattern and it behaves like the real thing: wipe oil away or lay a streak down with a brush that removes exactly what it says it does, and the wear and carry-down you draw now show up on the lane in the simulator. Build your own lane patterns A new Lane Patterns section in My Specs. Start a pattern from scratch or from any pattern in the library, and work on it as a proper pattern sheet: forward and reverse load tables with start and stop boards, loads, mics, speed, buff and distance, with total oil, volume, ratio and zone ratios worked out as you type. The lane beside it is drawn the way a pattern sheet draws it — pin deck, every board, range arrows and distances — and it is the lane the ball actually rolls on. Wear a lane in, and see what it does Open any pattern full screen and burn a track into it, lay oil streaks, or wipe an area back to bare wood. Pinch to zoom in to 12x for fine work down the back end. Anything you build shows up in the simulator's pattern list, and Modify Pattern lets you wear the lane in without losing your place in the simulator. Loft and deep laydowns Set how far you loft the ball, in feet, and see where it lands and what the extra distance does to the shape. Lay the ball down out to the 50 board; past the edge of the lane the app tells you how much loft it takes to carry the channel. Also in this update • Plan a Layout now does 2LS and VLS as well as Dual Angle, in eighths of an inch • No saved PAP for a bowler? COMPARE BALLS ON ONE LANE Add any ball — one of yours, or any of the 2,787 in the ball database — to the ball motion screen and see what your same delivery would do with it. Same rev rate, same speed, same axis, same line. Only the ball changes, so the paths leave the hand together and separate where the equipment starts to matter. - Every ball gets its own coloured path on the lane, and they stay until you clear them - A row per ball: breakpoint board and distance, entry board, entry angle, and whether it holds the pocket - Each ball rolls on its own factory finish, with a surface menu per ball if you want to take one to 500 or polish it - Search the whole ball database by name, brand, core or coverstock RACE THEM ALL Roll every ball you have picked at once, down the lane, as real balls — cores turning inside see-through covers tinted to each ball's own colour. The lane eases into slow motion the moment the field is more than a board wide, and tells you where that happened. Tick boxes on each row choose what Roll it puts on the lane, including the ball the simulator is already set to. THE SIMULATOR REMEMBERS EACH BOWLER Rev rate, speed, axis, lay-down board, target, surface and pattern all come back where that bowler left them. Switch bowlers and the screen switches with them. This is kept separate from a bowler's saved release, so trying a shot out of curiosity never rewrites what the app believes they throw. FIXES - Calculate Layout: on smaller screens the results panel could sit on top of the ball, so the PIN and CG markers could not be reached. The photo is now fitted to the space the panel leaves, and the markers stay on the same spot of the ball. - The ball photo, rev rate and coaching screens no longer close the app when the camera is unavailable — they say why instead.
