Serve Speed Pickleball turns your phone into a serve speed radar. Record a serve, and the app measures the ball speed right on your device - no cloud uploads, no subscriptions, no extra hardware. Your videos never leave your phone.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Position yourself behind the baseline, on the same side as the server
2. Hold your phone in landscape and frame the full court
3. Tap record a second or two before the serve
4. Stop after the ball lands
The app automatically detects the court, tracks the ball frame by frame, and estimates the serve speed using computer vision and 3D geometry. Results typically appear in under 30 seconds.

ACCURACY AND TIPS
Higher frame rates produce more accurate results. 240fps is ideal, 120fps works well, and 60fps gives a reasonable estimate. Most modern phones support at least 120fps.
For best results:
- Keep the phone steady (use a tripod or rest it on a fence)
- Make sure both baselines, both sidelines, and the net are visible
- Avoid zooming in -- the app needs to see the full court
- Record in good lighting conditions
The reported speed is the estimated ball speed off the paddle at the moment of contact.
