Daily Scales engraves any scale, arpeggio or pattern for your instrument, in any key and any register, with the fingerings marked, then plays a band behind you while you work: drums and a drone that follow the key as it changes.
35 scales. 34 arpeggios and chords. 38 patterns to run them through, from broken 3rds to enclosures. All of it on all 40 instruments, in all twelve keys, with the band behind every page.
THE PAGE
Pick an instrument, a scale, a pattern to run it in and a rhythm to write it in, and watch the page engrave: the right clef, the right octave, the right key for what you play. Set your range and the page stays inside it. Fingerings, string fingerings, slide positions and valve numbers are written on the notes, in the systems players are taught from.
THE BAND
Most scale practice is done against a click. Daily Scales plays a band that knows what you are reading: drums and a drone under every scale and pattern, the whole rhythm section over a tune's changes. It re-rolls itself every chorus, so it never plays the same thing twice. Tune to the drone, tap in your tempo, or have it get faster on every pass.
THE KEYS
Stay in one key, take the page around the circle of fifths or fourths, or let the app pick keys at random. The band follows the key wherever it goes.
ROUTINES
Ready-made routines run from first one-octave scales to complete graded exam syllabuses, each with a note on what it trains. Or fill a hat with the scales and arpeggios you want and let Random Mix deal: no two sessions come out the same.
YOUR TUNES
Import a chord chart or screenshot the lead sheet from your own book. Daily Scales writes your scale and arpeggio patterns over the changes, voice-led from chord to chord, while the band plays the form behind you.
YOUR SHEETS
Set a page up the way you like it and save it to Your Sheets. Any page exports as a PDF you can send to anyone, whether or not they own the app.
FOR TEACHERS
Build a student a routine that goes everywhere they avoid, from one-octave scales with the fingerings written in to seventh arpeggios in 3rd inversion around the circle of fourths. Send it as an image, a PDF, or a QR code they scan into their own copy.
