Cogio is free to download. Cogio Pro unlocks the full experience, including guarding multiple apps, with monthly, annual (7-day free trial), and lifetime options.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account; subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Built for privacy
Cogio's problem-gating runs entirely on your device using Apple's Screen Time API — no account required, and which apps you guard, your scores, and your settings never leave your phone. We use a standard analytics tool to understand how the app is used (like app opens and feature usage); it's never used for ads or to track you across other apps. Purchase and subscription data is processed by our payments provider to manage your subscription. See the App Privacy section on this page for exactly what's collected.
Cogio uses Apple's Family Controls framework (the Screen Time API) for one purpose: to detect when you open an app you've chosen to guard, and to present the problem before you continue. It cannot see what you do inside other apps, read their content, or track your activity.

This release is a full redesign. Meet the new mascot — Cogi — a hand-drawn, animated brain who waves you in, cheers your solves, and flexes when you rank up. The app icon, wordmark, and every screen have been rebuilt around a single visual language, with a dark-first theme and a light option in Settings.
New problem types join the gym: Odd One Out, Ordered Tap, Matching Pair, and Missing Number, plus new pattern problems — rule matrices, visual sequences, and mental rotation — under the Patterns category. Every problem is still randomized, so there’s nothing to memorize.
The gate feels better to use. Correct answers fill green with a check and a tap of haptic feedback; wrong ones shake the card and let you try again. Rank-ups now get a proper celebration, and you can share your Cognitive Profile as a card straight from the Profile screen.
New: Parent mode. Setting up Cogio on someone else’s phone? Turn on Parent mode in Settings and protect the gate settings and guarded apps with a 4-digit PIN. A new Guard status screen shows whether the guard is on, how many problems were solved each day, and when the guard was switched off — and if it is, Cogio tells you. Free for everyone.
Also in this release: a clearer Pro page that leads with guarding multiple apps, smoother launch and welcome screens, and dozens of small fixes. As always, which apps you guard, your scores, and your settings never leave your phone.
