Notifications, delivered. The last update was meant to bring notifications back and could not. The app had been built without the permission Apple requires to deliver them, so however well your phone registered itself, nothing could reach it. This build has that permission. Approvals, reminders and announcements arrive on your handset again. If notifications are switched off for NextHR in your phone's own settings, the Notifications screen still says so plainly, with a button that takes you straight to the setting.

Notifications that actually arrive. If your reminders had gone quiet, this fixes it. The app registers your phone again every time you open it, instead of only once when it starts — so an app update, a dropped connection or a slow moment at launch can no longer leave your handset silently unregistered. It also tells you when your phone is the thing blocking them. If notifications are switched off for NextHR, the Notifications screen now says so plainly, with a button that takes you straight to the setting. Ask for a certificate of employment from your phone. Under File a request, tap Certificate: say what it is for, who it is addressed to, and whether it should state your salary. It goes to your approver like any other request, and you can open and print the finished certificate once HR has issued it.

One appearance, whichever way your phone is set. The app followed your phone's light or dark setting, and dark mode had drifted — some screens showed light panels inside it. It now looks the same for everybody, the same way the website and your payslips do. Ask NextHR can answer for your team. If you approve requests or manage people, you can ask who is late, who has not clocked in yet, and who is out today. It answers only about the people you are already allowed to see on the Team screen, and never about pay. Everybody else's assistant is unchanged: their own record and nothing else. Tap a name under Everyone. The team directory was a list you could only read. Tapping somebody now opens their number and email — tap either to call or write — with their hours for the day underneath. Cover the payroll total. The eye beside "Last payroll" hides the amount, the way the one on your payslip already does, and it stays hidden until you show it again. Also in this version. Turning down a request is now called "Disapprove", which is what the record has always called it and what the person who filed it is shown. The break button says "Start break". The request tab for a day at home says WFH, because the old label was the same word as the Home tab beside it.

Your hours count what you have worked. Clocking in used to credit the rest of the shift straight away — clock in at 1:57 and the card read 3h 02m of a day one minute old. It now counts forward from your punch, updates through the day, and the unpaid break comes out as it is earned rather than in one drop. My hours adds up too: a day that showed a minute nobody could account for, flagged for you to check, was a rounding fault and is gone. Nothing concludes your day before it ends. You are no longer marked absent in the minute after clocking in, or half a day at lunchtime, and the hours you have not worked yet are not counted against you as undertime. File a half day from your phone. Leave taken as a half day could only be filed at a desk — from the app it spent a whole day of your balance without saying so. Field work can now say what kind of trip it is and whether it takes the whole day or only part of it, and overtime can say what it was for. For managers. The team board's figures add up: turned up, not in yet, away, expected. People who had not arrived were counted nowhere before, because the old tile waited for the day to end. Approving answers immediately instead of sitting on the button, and the queue refetches when you come back to the app.

Notifications now reach iPhone. Shift reminders and updates on your requests were never arriving — the app was not asking iOS for a notification token at all, so there was nothing to send to. It asks now, tapping a notification opens the screen it is about, and there is a Notifications list so nothing is lost when a banner is missed. You can turn them off, or move the shift reminder earlier, from the tune icon there. Ask NextHR knows your shift and your attendance. Ask what shift you are on, or how your month is going — days worked, absences, late arrivals and leave left. Your own record only, and never payslip amounts. Also in this version. Your last payslip can be covered with one tap, for reading the app in public. The team register steps back through earlier days, filters by tapping a figure, searches, and opens a row for someone's hours and where they clocked in. Dark mode stops showing light panels. The keyboard can be dismissed by tapping away from it. And a clock-in saved with no signal now says it is still waiting until it has gone in.

Ask NextHR now starts in English. The suggested questions were in Taglish, which meant the answers came back in Taglish too. They are in English now — but ask in Taglish and it still replies in Taglish, exactly as before. Dark mode looks like dark mode. The Home, My hours and Ask NextHR screens had panels that stayed light when the rest of the app went dark, and some text that was hard to read against it. They follow the theme now.

The question box on Ask NextHR is back. On the previous version it did not appear at all, so the suggested questions were the only way to ask anything. You can type your own question again. Your team's day, for any day. The team register was fixed to today. You can now step back to earlier days, tap a figure to see the people behind it, search by name or department, and open a row for that person's hours — time in and out, credited hours, late, overtime and night differential.

Ask NextHR keeps working after a dropped connection. If an answer was cut short — walking out of signal, or switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data — the chat could stop accepting new questions until you closed the screen and opened it again. It now recovers on its own.

Payslips now show amounts paid on top of gross. If your pay includes output VAT, it now appears in its own "Added on top of gross" section. Before this, that line was left off the payslip, which could make your take-home look larger than your gross pay with nothing on screen explaining the difference. The amount was always correct — it just wasn't shown. Update reminders. The app now lets you know when a newer version is available and takes you straight to the App Store. Plus smaller fixes to profile photo loading and notification delivery.

NOTIFICATIONS Approvals, announcements and shift reminders now arrive when they happen, rather than waiting for you to open the app. Tapping one opens what it is about. Profile photos that fail to load now fall back to your initials instead of an error.
