• Watching together. Mirror your iPhone to an Apple TV or an AirPlay TV from Control Centre, or plug in an HDMI cable: the anaglyph or wiggle moves to the big screen, and the phone becomes the remote. • Depth set once per screen. A short test pattern in Settings › TV finds the right depth for that TV or projector, and keeps it for next time. • Slideshows play clips through. A 3D-AVI clip in a slideshow now plays to its end instead of being skipped. • Playlists. Save a selection of photos and clips as a playlist. Choose it and the library shows just that list, in your order, which you change by dragging; play it from the start or shuffled.

Fixes for colouring a stereo card: • Choosing a colour model and then holding a swipe to the next card halfway could close the app. Two cards were being coloured at once, which is more memory than the phone allows; now one card is coloured at a time. • The slideshow moved on before a card's colour had come. It now waits for the colour, then counts its interval. • Downloading a colour model no longer needs the screen to stay on. The download continues with the phone locked, and is finished even if the app is closed in the meantime.

New in this update: • Stereo cards. The import button in the library's bottom bar turns a photo of a stereo card, from Photos or from a scanned file, into an MPO in your library. The two prints are found by their edges, on a grey Keystone mount, a black one or a plain white card, and are straightened, put upright and registered on each other; on a grey mount, the grey takes the yellow of the lamp out. A switch on the import sheet saves every card of a batch in black and white, for prints the lamp coloured past what a white balance can undo. A checkmark in the sort menu hides or shows the converted cards. • A live card view. The camera button in the library's bottom bar looks at a card in your hand and shows it as an anaglyph in your glasses' colours, live, with the same white balance; the shutter saves it as an MPO with the card's title as its caption. • Colour for a card. The palette in the viewer colours a converted card with a machine learning model (DDColor) for as long as you are looking: the model sees the left print, and its colour is laid on both prints at their own lightness, so the depth stays. A small model is built in; two larger ones, one warm and one true to life, can be downloaded once in Settings, about 200 MB each. The MPO itself is never changed. • Depth is built from both photos now. The phone at rest sits halfway between the two eyes, tilting to one side is the left photo exactly as shot, to the other the right photo, and every frame in between is put together from both, so the smearing at the edges of near objects is mostly gone. The Strength setting keeps its meaning: at 1.00 the full tilt covers exactly the distance between the camera's two lenses. • Settings on one screen. Ten rows with the current value beside each, the controls on a page behind every row, and a search field that finds any setting by its name or its explanation and opens the page it is on. Two new buttons: one removes the captions kept for photos you deleted, the other clears the coloured cards the app keeps. • A Help button. The question mark next to About opens one page with every icon in the app and one sentence on what it does, and the gestures that leave no mark on the screen.

New in this update: • Comfortable depth. Every stereo pair is now placed against the screen before you see it: the app measures where the nearest thing in the picture sits and moves the pair so that point lands on the screen plane instead of in front of it. That is often the difference between a pair your eyes settle into and one they fight. It applies in all five viewing modes and to what you export, it is on by default, and Comfortable Depth in Settings turns it off. • The two eyes are now brought into line vertically as well. No dual-lens camera holds both lenses exactly level, and the few pixels of height difference that leaves is something your eyes can only absorb by working at it, which is where tiredness after a handful of photos comes from. The app measures that offset across the whole frame and takes it out, in every mode and in exports, under the same Comfortable Depth switch. • One photo at a time can stay out of it. If a placed photo looks wrong to you, a button in the viewer shows it as the camera shot it, out of line included, and the app remembers that for that photo. • The viewer's top row has made room for that button, next to Close, in the same place in every mode. The slideshow button has moved to the bottom right, opposite Export. • Wiggle no longer crops a large part of the picture away on the odd photo. It was trusting a single vertical measurement that the rest of the frame does not agree with; a measurement the frame cannot confirm is now refused rather than acted on. • A photo or clip you are done with can leave the view. Hold its thumbnail and Hide takes it out of the library, or choose Select to take several at once. Hidden in the sort menu shows what you hid and puts any of it back, and if you would rather nobody else opened that list, Settings can put it behind Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode. The file itself stays exactly where it is: MPO Viewer no longer moves, renames or deletes any of your photos or clips. • Your captions now live in the app rather than in a file among your photos. The ones you already had are brought across the first time you open the app, and Settings can write them back out to the folder, or read them in again, whenever you want to carry them to another device. • Anaglyph and Wiggle could get stuck on the loading spinner. The two eyes were cropped from fractional positions and could come back a pixel apart, which the merge refuses. Crops now land on whole pixels, and a merge that does fail says so instead of loading for ever.

New in this update: • The viewer's controls stay put when you switch modes. Wiggle and Depth carry no field of view slider, so the mode picker used to slide to the right edge and the export row sat a line higher than everywhere else. Every mode now holds the same slots, at every text size. The slideshow button has moved left, next to Close. • The Depth shadow has been taken out again. It drew the gaps where the picture runs out instead of blurring over them, which made them easier to see but no smaller. The setting and the button in the viewer are both gone.

New in this update: • Photos now open at their own depth. A 3D camera puts the screen plane at infinity, which leaves everything you can actually see floating in front of it. The app now puts that plane on the picture itself: the distance just behind it, the subject on it, the foreground just in front. A photo looks less deep at first because of this. What came off is an offset. The depth itself is still there, and Depth Shift puts the push back wherever you want it. • Ghost Reduction, new in Settings. Subtracts the light each lens leaks from the other eye, so edges show through less. Turned up far it darkens the photo, so turn it until the show-through goes and stop there. • Depth has been recalibrated. The same strength came out differently on different photos, because the app had no idea how big a unit of depth was. Now it measures that per photo. The setting is called Strength, where 1.00 is the depth the camera captured. Your old Intensity value does not carry over, because it meant something different on every photo. • Zooming in Anaglyph works from the part you have zoomed into rather than the middle of the whole photo. Red and cyan also no longer drift further apart as you zoom. • Search looks at the file name as well. A photo without a description could not be found before. • Swiping between photos follows your finger until you let go, instead of snapping halfway. • An export can be called off. A Cancel button sits over the progress, and whatever was half written is cleaned up. • The library opens faster and stays smooth, and clip thumbnails appear at once. • Depth holds far less memory while it works, so large photos get through more often. • An incoming call interrupts a clip properly and playback comes back on its own afterwards. Pulling out headphones stops it. • Damaged or unusual clips no longer trip the app up, and exports now work at sizes that used to fail. • Also fixed: a rotated photo's size in the info panel, the shutter speed, a long description used as a filename, the empty share sheet after an export, the cloud badge on a downloaded photo, and the viewer jumping to a different photo when the folder changed underneath it.

New in this update: • Wiggle and Depth now follow Reduce Motion. With it on they no longer move by themselves but follow how you tilt the phone, and Depth keeps its swing in check. Settings carries a switch to turn that off again. • VoiceOver reads the library. Every photo and clip gives its description, or else what it is and when it was taken, and you can open and export without seeing where you tap. • In the viewer VoiceOver names the photo you are on, with actions to show the controls and to zoom in and out. • Double-tap now zooms in from the whole photo, and double-tapping again zooms back out, so zooming works without a pinch. The zoom level is spoken. • The library now sorts by when a photo or clip was taken rather than by the file's date, so a folder you copied is back in the right order. • If you cannot fuse a stereo pair, the app now points you at Wiggle and Depth. Those two work with one eye. • An exported anaglyph now carries the glasses in its filename — redcyan, magentagreen, amberblue or redblue — instead of rgv for all of them. With the eyes swapped the two words swap too. • The sliders in Settings now tell VoiceOver their name and their value, and the app stays usable at the largest text sizes. • Reduce Motion now covers the whole app: panels and zoom steps appear at once instead of animating into place. • With VoiceOver a zoomed photo can now be moved without dragging — four actions alongside zoom in and out. • The segmented controls in Settings become a menu at the largest text sizes, so their labels grow with everything else. • At those sizes the viewer's controls wrap onto more rows instead of ceasing to grow, so every button stays reachable. • Holding a photo now shows a menu with Export rather than exporting straight away — the gesture explains itself. • About lists every gesture, so double-tapping and swiping are no longer things you have to stumble upon. • Fixed: switching modes in the viewer works first time again.

New in this update: • Depth Shift for Anaglyph. A button under the picture opens a slider, the way Field of View already works in Side by Side. • Slide right and the subject sinks behind the screen; slide left and it comes forward. It is there for the pair that sits too deep to fuse comfortably, and for the flat one that could use more relief. • The setting is remembered and applies to photos, 3D clips and what you export alike. Settings carries the same slider, with a reset. • Side by Side and Crossed Eye now show a caption with the frame style set to None as well. There is no border to hold it, so it sits over the bottom of both photos, the same on the left and the right. • With a border you can put it there too: the caption position adds In Photo, next to under the left photo, the right one, or both. The button under the photo still switches it off, and exports carry it either way.

New in this update: • Four more decorative frames, six in all. Stereo Realist is a slide mount from the 1950s; Lantern Slide, a magic-lantern plate with an oval aperture; Kaiserpanorama, a viewing cabinet in walnut and brass. Peep Box is a cardboard box you look into. • Peep Box has depth of its own. The mouth of the box sits in front of the photograph instead of around it, so the walls run back towards the picture rather than lying flat on the screen. Fuse the pair and you are looking into a box. • All six work in Side by Side and in Crossed Eye, on screen and in what you export. Peep Box keeps its depth when you switch between the two instead of turning inside out.

New in this update: • Decorative frames now work for video. Viewmaster and Underwood used to be photo-only. A stereo clip now plays inside one, and the exported MP4 carries the frame too, with each eye filling its window the way a photo does. • An info button in the viewer. It shows what the camera recorded: make and model, lens, aperture, shutter and ISO, dimensions and file size, and a map when the photo carries a location. For a clip it shows the resolution per eye, the frame rate, the length, and whether it has sound. • Export a clip whole, or just the frame you are looking at. The export button now asks which, and a single frame comes out as a photo — same border or frame, same caption, same zoom — named after the moment it was taken. • Trim a clip before it goes out. Mark a start and an end with [ and ] while it plays, and only that span lands in the MP4 — sound included. • Choose your glasses. Anaglyph now merges for Red/Cyan, Magenta/Green, Amber/Blue or Red/Blue — pick yours in Settings, or from the viewer itself, where a button beside the mode picker also swaps the eyes without leaving the picture. Red/Cyan itself looks better too: colours that used to vanish for one eye now survive. • Swap Eyes was the wrong way round. Anaglyph put the right eye behind the red filter, so ordinary glasses needed the switch on to see depth correctly. It is fixed — if you had it on, turn it off. • The caption sits at the top of that panel and can be edited there, so a typo no longer means leaving the picture. • Press and hold any line in the panel to copy its value.

New in this update: • 3D video. The same cameras also shoot stereo video, and MPO Viewer now plays those clips with sound, in Side by Side, Crossed Eye and Red/Cyan. A clip opens on its first frame and waits for the play button. Skip ten seconds either way with the buttons over the picture; the controls step aside the moment playback starts, and one tap brings them back. • Export a clip as an MP4. The slideshow skips clips. • A clearer library. The bar under the thumbnails is gone. Search is a magnifying glass floating above them that opens when you tap it, the grid and list switch sits opposite, and sorting moved up beside Settings. • Redrawn viewer controls. Every button now sits on the same glass the rest of iOS 26 uses, and the field of view slider waits behind a single button instead of taking up a row of its own.

New in this update: • A Field of View slider in Side by Side and Crossed Eye. When the pair sits too wide to fuse comfortably, it shrinks the whole image, borders and all. Portrait and landscape each keep their own setting, and both can be reset from Settings. • Exported files can now take their name from the photo's description, and the description can be written into the file's Exif data. • The slideshow hides the viewer controls on its own and keeps the screen awake while it plays. • Various improvements to dark mode and overall stability.
