Hitomazu puts a single breath in front of the apps you choose to watch. The way through is always left open.
■ One question before you open
When you go to open a watched app, it asks just one thing: "What are you here for?" You answer "On purpose" or "Just because." Choosing "Just because" is not held against you. It asks once more, "Still want to open it?", and after that it is your call.
■ It counts the times you turned back
Two numbers are recorded: how often you paused, and how often you turned back. No screen-time totals, no comparison with last week, no completion rates. Instead of confronting you with the hours you failed to cut, it keeps the moments where you stopped.
■ It doesn't rush you
No badges. No streaks. One notification, on Sunday morning, and only if you asked for it. No numbers in it.
■ Your records don't reach the developer
The apps you pick and the records of them stay on your device. There is no server to receive them. No account, no ads, no analytics. Even with iCloud sync on, the only place they go is your own iCloud.
