It uses Apple's speech engine built into macOS Tahoe, so transcription runs entirely on your Mac — much faster than real time, and completely private. Your audio is never uploaded anywhere. There is no account to create, no subscription, and no tracking of any kind. HOW IT WORKS • Drop an audio file onto the window (or pick one with the file browser) • Watch the transcript stream in live with a progress bar • Edit the text in place if you like, then copy it with one click WORKS WITH YOUR FILES MP3, M4A/AAC (including Voice Memos), WAV, AIFF, CAF, FLAC — if your Mac can decode it, Transcribble can transcribe it. Long recordings are no problem. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Transcription happens on-device using the speech model macOS downloads once for your language.
