Hoogbench: CPU & GPU Benchmark
Offline CPU & GPU benchmark
Only for Mac

Mac
Twelve processor tests and eight graphics tests, run entirely on your Mac. No account, no uploads, no internet access — your results never leave the machine.
Hoogbench measures what your Mac can do, and keeps the answer on your Mac.
Most benchmarks send your result to a public web page, and with the free ones that is usually the price you pay. Hoogbench contains no code that can use the internet, and macOS does not give it permission to use the internet either.
WHAT IT MEASURES
Twelve processor tests, six on whole numbers and six on decimals, each run first on one core and then on every core at once: AES-256 encryption in software, LZ77 compression, shortest-path search, HTML parsing, radix sort, 14-queens backtracking, ray tracing, N-body physics, Gaussian blur, fast Fourier transforms, 512³ matrix multiply, and a heat-diffusion stencil.
Eight graphics tests through Metal. Memory is reported as it is measured — delay in nanoseconds, bandwidth in GB/s — rather than mixed into the score.
HOW IT SCORES
1000 points is a published speed: 19 GFLOPS on the matrix multiply, 250 MB/s on the block cipher, and a figure like that for every test. The table is the definition. It is not "as fast as one particular computer", so it needs no explaining and it does not go out of date.
The multi-core score is measured against those same single-core speeds, so it reads as a multiple: how much more work all the cores do than one.
Every test gives the same answer each time it runs on the same Mac, and that is checked automatically. None of the tests use Apple's ready-made maths libraries, which run on a separate part of the chip that Apple improves on its own schedule.
PRIVACY
• No internet access, incoming or outgoing
• No account, no login, no sign-in
• No tracking, no crash reporting, no usage statistics
• No code from any other company
• No advertising
• Nothing uploaded, and no public scoreboard
Exporting writes a file where you choose. It holds the hardware description and the scores — no serial number, no identifier, no device name, no account.
COMPARING
Hoogbench comes with measurements of real Macs built in, and nothing is downloaded to show them. Run it on a second Mac, export that result and import it here, and the two appear side by side.
REQUIREMENTS
macOS 15 or later, on a Mac with Apple silicon. One-time purchase. No subscription, nothing to buy inside the app.
