THRD is a free membership club for creatives and entrepreneurs with Caribbean roots — at home and across the diaspora. People who've just landed, people who never left, and people building from a city far from it. If you simply love the culture, that counts too.
Applying is free, membership is free through 31 December 2026, and anyone 18 or over can apply — no invitation needed. If that ever changes, you'll hear from us well before it does. The events calendar, The Region and our stays are open to browse without an account at all.
WHAT'S INSIDE
Experiences — what's on from Kingston to London, Brooklyn to the Blue Mountains. Most of it is somebody else's — we go looking, and every card says whose it is. Chef's tables, sunset sessions, boat days, link-ups — filter by city, by date, or the kind of night you're after.
You're going — every RSVP on one page. Bring up to two guests; add any night to your calendar.
Circles — the club's sub-communities. Vetted rooms for everything from Sunday miles to salsa nights to shipping-barrel advice. Join the ones that feel like home; start the one that's missing.
Stays — two real homes so far, both in Jamaica: a founding host's two-bed in Kingston and a portfolio host across Ocho Rios and Kingston. You book on their own Airbnb, at their price — nothing goes through THRD.
The Region — what's moving across the Caribbean: investment, property, business and culture, from Kingston to Port of Spain to Georgetown. Each one written from a primary source, stamped with the date we last looked.
The directory — members you can actually reach, and a conversation when it's mutual.
Your card — a THRD membership card that lives in Apple Wallet.
HOW IT WORKS
Apply in a few minutes. A person reads it. Most people hear back within a week. There are no passwords to invent or forget — you sign in with a code we email you.
A ROOM WORTH PROTECTING
Everyone here was vetted, and the room is looked after. Report and Block sit on every profile and every conversation. Reports are reviewed and acted on within 24 hours. Blocking is silent by design — the person you block is never told and can never tell. And you can delete your account, and everything in it, from inside the app.
Free to apply. Free to join. The founding cohort is forming now.
The calendar leads with the big ones now. Carnivals, festivals and the tours people book flights for, dated as far ahead as the organisers have published them, so you can plan around them rather than find out after. Open Experiences and they are at the top.
Volunteering is a new category: shifts you can turn up to and give time at. Food bank and community kitchen mornings, beach and park cleanups, barrel and relief packing, mentoring, donor drives. Half of the first twenty-eight are run by the community's own — ACLT's donor Saturdays in Brixton, the Enfield Caribbean Association's lunch for elders, the Caribbean Equality Project's pantry in Flatbush, Hosea Helps in Atlanta, and the Jamaica Environment Trust's coastal cleanup at home.
Seven new pictures on the home screen for the seven kinds of night, and the first one says social, which is the filter it actually opens.
A room that runs on the second Saturday of the month used to say Weekly on its card. It says Monthly.
A night we picked out of the calendar still names whose night it is, and the day we last checked the organiser's page.
And applying is shorter. The form is the first thing on the screen now, and nothing asks you to go and find a link before you start.
