Crucix: Crosswords
Arrow words and letter wheel
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Crucix is a proper crossword game, with two ways to play and six languages.
TWO MODES
• Letter wheel: drag your finger across the letters to build words and watch the grid fill in. Every word has its own clue, so you can play it the other way round too: read the clue and hunt for the word.
• Arrow crossword: the classic newspaper puzzle, with the clues inside the grid and an arrow showing which way the word runs. Tap a square and type.
SIX REAL LANGUAGES
English, Spanish, French, Italian, German and Portuguese. This is not a translated interface: each language has its own words and its own clues, written one by one. Switch language and the whole game changes.
OVER 3,500 LEVELS
2,364 letter wheel levels and 1,200 arrow crosswords. Each language keeps its own progress, in case you want to practise two at once.
BUILT FOR UNHURRIED PLAY
• Works offline: everything ships with the app.
• No account, no sign-up, no email address.
• No timer and no streak to lose.
• Bonus words hidden in every level for anyone who wants to dig deeper.
• Coins for hints when a word refuses to come.
Free, with ads. Rewarded ads are always your choice: if you would rather not watch one, you never have to.

Many more levels, and a new way to make it harder.
• 1,000 letter wheel levels in every language.
• Between 500 and 700 arrow crosswords, depending on the language.
• Words of up to 14 letters in the harder levels.
• Much bigger boards, with pinch to zoom.
• A clock from level 20 on: if it runs out you can earn 30 seconds and carry on where you left off.
• Words take far longer to come round again, and a word and its plural never share a board.
• Choose your keyboard layout in Settings.
• Your game is kept even if you leave a board half done.
• Progress is backed up to iCloud, in case you change device.
• Fewer ads back to back.
