⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I’ve had the opportunity to test drive the Army Readiness app and I’m genuinely impressed with how useful it is for Army Reserve Soldiers and Career Counselors. There are a lot of apps out there that give you one or two calculators, but this one actually brings together a bunch of things we deal with throughout a Soldier’s career in one place.You can check body composition, AFT scores, pay, drill pay, retirement points, retirement pay estimates, VA offsets, reduced age retirement, QTC readiness, MOS information and more. These are all things Soldiers ask about all the time, and normally you’re bouncing between different websites, references, calculators and systems trying to piece everything together.What I like most is that the app is simple to navigate and the information is actually relevant to the Army Reserve. You can tell it was built by someone who understands the questions Soldiers have and the things Career Counselors deal with every day.From a leadership standpoint, I can see this being a great tool to help Soldiers take more ownership of their careers and better understand their pay, readiness and retirement. It also gives Career Counselors another resource to help explain things in a way that is easier for Soldiers to understand.After spending time going through the different features, I can definitely say this is a 5 star app. It is practical, easy to use and fills a real need in the Army Reserve community. I’m looking forward to seeing how it continues to grow.
