RANKED SEASONS
• Two weeks per season, a 10+5 clock and a live leaderboard.
• Seven tiers from Rookie to Master. Once you reach a tier, a loss never drops you below it.
• Win streaks and your first win of the day earn bonus points; a loss shield softens a bad run.
• Your best tier keeps its avatar frame after the season, and the top 100 earn badges shown beside their name.
JIEQI (揭棋)
The generals start face up; every other piece is shuffled face down. A hidden piece moves as the piece that normally starts on its square, then turns over: a chariot can turn up where a cannon stood, and a revealed advisor can cross the river. No two games open alike. Play Rapid Jieqi (15+5) or Blitz Jieqi (8+3) online, each with its own Elo.

• Rapid (15+5), Blitz (8+3) and Battle, each rated on its own, so a bad night at blitz leaves your rapid rating alone.
• Matchmaking finds an opponent near your rating in seconds.

SCAN A BOARD, ANALYSE ANY POSITION
Photograph a board in a book, on a screen or on a table, or pick a picture from your photos, and board scan turns it into a position. Fix any square in the editor, then play it out or open it on the analysis board to see the engine's best line at every move.
BLINDFOLD
Play the computer with the pieces hidden. Tap two points or type moves (C2.5, H8+7), keep the board in your head, and peek three times a game.
3,800+ ENDGAME STUDIES
Classical studies from 41 collections: Red must win, or hold a draw from a position that looks lost. Follow the book and your opponent answers from it; step off it and the engine takes over the defence. Easy, medium and hard, a Daily Puzzle with a streak to keep, and your progress saved to your account.

Six courses and 89 lessons on the board, from The Basics through openings, tactics and checkmate patterns to endgames. The Basics course is free.
