Write in standard Markdown files with smart suggestions that stay out of your way. Keats is a focused Markdown editor for writers who want useful AI assistance without moving their work into a chatbox. Write in local .md files. Contextual suggestions appear quietly at the cursor and can be accepted one word or passage at a time. Select text and use Improve for a focused rewrite, with your own standing instructions when tone or detail matters. Keats includes: • A calm, fast Markdown editor with Edit and Preview modes • Familiar bold, italic, and highlighted-text Markdown shortcuts • Context-aware inline suggestions and conservative nearby corrections • Focused rewrites for selected text • Optional context from other Markdown files in the folder • Light and dark themes • Word, character, and language information • Recent files and secure restoration of permitted folders • Optional Keats AI Plus and Pro monthly subscriptions • Bring-your-own-key support for compatible AI providers The editor works without an account or subscription. AI stays off until you give permission. You can connect your own compatible provider. In the Mac App Store edition, Sign In is optional for existing Keats accounts, and the primary action is Subscribe with Apple. No account creation is offered or required. Purchase and Restore Purchases work without entering an email. Plus includes 5 AI credits per month, and Pro includes 20. Apple shows the localized price before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically and can be managed or canceled in Apple subscription settings. When Keats AI is selected, the relevant writing is sent to the configured managed AI provider to produce the requested suggestion or rewrite. Keats does not store prompts or document content. Folder context is on by default, disclosed before AI is enabled, and can be turned off in Settings. Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
