Ten football questions a match. Get one right and you step up to the spot. Drag back, bend it round the keeper, and see if you can beat him.
Penalty Questions is a football quiz with a penalty shootout attached.
Pick Easy, Medium or Hard, then answer ten questions. Every one you get right earns you a kick against the keeper. Every one you get wrong costs you the kick — you only get ten questions, so a guess is expensive.
TAKING THE PENALTY
Drag back from the ball and let go. Pull further for more power, pull to one side to aim across the goal, and curve the path of your drag to bend it around the keeper.
The keeper commits the instant you strike it and cannot change his mind. He reads the side more often on Hard than on Easy, and he never knows the height — so the corners are where the goals are. Hit it hard enough into the right spot and you can beat him even when he goes the right way.
BUILDING YOUR TAKER
Goals pay coins, and Hard pays four times what Easy does. Coins buy four things:
• Power — hits it harder, so the keeper has less time to get across
• Accuracy — tightens the spread, so the ball goes where you aimed
• Technique — more bend, for curling it around a keeper who guessed right
• Composure — steadies you on the kicks that matter
Then there is the locker: six pairs of boots, six kits and any shirt number from 1 to 99. The boots carry small bonuses, so there is a real choice between the pair that suits your game and the pair you like the look of.
THE QUESTIONS
Over two hundred of them, across three levels, covering World Cups, European nights, records, famous comebacks and the laws of the game. Every question is written so its answer stays true — you will not be asked who plays for a club this season, because that changes.
After every question you get the story behind the answer, so a wrong one is still worth something.
WHAT IT DOES NOT DO
No adverts. No accounts. No in-app purchases. No analytics, no tracking, and no network connections at all — everything stays on your iPad.
