Dubplate Player

Your cloud folders, as albums

Free · In‑App Purchases

The first album is free, with every feature. Connect Dropbox, OneDrive or your own Nextcloud, pick a folder, and it becomes a real album in your pocket. The world hasn't heard it yet. You have. Dubplate turns a private folder in your cloud storage into a proper album library. Connect Dropbox, Microsoft OneDrive, or a Nextcloud server of your own, pick a folder, and it becomes an album you can play: artwork, tracklist, gapless-feel playback, lock-screen controls, and offline listening. It is built for the music that isn't on streaming. Unreleased albums and rough mixes. Pre-release folders someone shared with you. Bandcamp buys, live rips, out-of-print records, the bootlegs in the vault. HOW IT WORKS 1. Connect your cloud. Sign in to Dropbox, OneDrive or your own Nextcloud. Dubplate asks for read-only access: it can see and stream your files, never change them. 2. Pick a folder. Your own, or one shared with you. Dubplate reads the tags, or the filenames when there are none, and builds a clean album with artwork and tracklist. 3. Press play. Stream straight from your cloud, or sync an album to your device and listen offline. FEATURES - Albums built from folders, with embedded artwork and real track durations - Folders shared with you, not only your own - Offline sync: download an album and play it in airplane mode - Background audio and lock-screen controls - Playlists across albums, and per-track title and artist corrections - Lyrics and liner notes picked up from files beside your music - Search across your whole library - Light and dark, in English and Norwegian PRIVATE BY CONSTRUCTION There is no Dubplate server. The app talks straight from your device to the service you connected, and to nothing else. Your sign-in, your file names, your folder structure and your audio never reach a server we run, and your library is stored only on your device. Dubplate is read-only. It never uploads, renames, moves or deletes anything in your storage, and it never asks a service for permission to. PRICING One album free, with every feature. A single one-time purchase unlocks unlimited albums. No subscription and no ads. One purchase covers iPhone, iPad and Mac. WHAT YOU NEED An account with Dropbox or Microsoft OneDrive, or a Nextcloud server, with music files already in it. Dubplate is a player for storage you already have: it does not sell, provide or find music for you. Two notes on OneDrive, so nothing is a surprise. OneDrive gives apps no way to list the folders other people have shared with you, so add the folder to your own OneDrive with "Add shortcut to My files", or paste its link into the app. And OneDrive support is built for personal Microsoft accounts; a work or school account may need approval from whoever administers it. Dropbox is a trademark of Dropbox, Inc. Microsoft and OneDrive are trademarks of Microsoft Corporation. Nextcloud is a trademark of Nextcloud GmbH. Dubplate is an independent product, not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.
