One photo a day for the people who'd want it. It lands on their widget, and theirs lands on yours. No feed to keep up with, nothing ranked, no strangers, and no server of ours in between.
HOW IT WORKS
• Take today's photo. Camera or library, then pick a look.
• It lands on their widget. No app to open. The widget picks up every new print, sticker and note through the day, and turns over at midnight.
• Stick something on it. Reactions are stickers, and some of them are holo.
• Tape a note. Write on the print or tape a scrap of paper to it.
• Put a moment on film. A few seconds of video become a print on a strip of film.
• Keep the streak. In the evening, Last light keeps today's empty frame on your iPhone's Lock Screen, with the time left until midnight. It never buzzes.
• Bring the group. An album is one shared book for the family, the trip or the book club. Start one with a name and an emoji, and anyone who scans its code joins.
• See it before you start. A sample album shows how it all works until you make your own.
STICKERS THAT MOVE WHEN YOU DO
Tilt your iPhone and the foil runs across every holo sticker. Tilt a little further and the stickers slip aside, so you can see the photo underneath.
Sticker packs come out like issues of a magazine. Each issue is on the shelf for its season, then it leaves. Every issue has one sticker that's free for everyone, and an issue you buy is yours to keep. Twenty-four everyday packs (cats, café, travel and more) are on the shelf all year.
ON YOUR WRIST
The Apple Watch app comes with it. Your iPhone hands each new print straight to your watch, and the watch keeps up from iCloud on its own. Swipe through the day's prints, open one big, and turn your wrist to watch the stickers sway.
IN MESSAGES
Open Photo Tape from the + in any chat. Your prints hang on a line: press one, peel it off and drop it on a message. Taped, clean or mini.
ALSO ON MAC, APPLE TV AND APPLE VISION PRO
The same family, the same prints. On the Mac, post a print, start an album and write back from the menu bar. On Apple TV, leave TV mode on in the living room; on Vision Pro, hang a gallery wall in your room. Stick something on a print from any of them and it reaches its people, as from your iPhone.
PHOTO TAPE PLUS
• More than one video a day. Your first each day is free.
• Your own stickers. Cut anyone or anything out of a photo and stick it anywhere.
• Every exclusive pack. Collect each issue while it's on the shelf, and keep what you collected.
Plus is weekly, monthly or yearly, or paid once with Plus Forever. Plus Forever and every pack you buy are shared with your Family Sharing group, and Plus and packs bought on your iPhone, iPad or Mac are yours on all three.
NOBODY IN THE MIDDLE
Your photos stay in your own iCloud. When you share with someone, Apple's iCloud lets their phone read them. That's the whole trip. No Photo Tape account, no ads, no tracking, and no analytics in the app.
Photo Tape needs iOS 17 or later and an iCloud account; the Apple Watch app needs watchOS 11. Your people need it too.
Photo Tape Plus is available as a weekly, monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription, or as a one-time purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm. A subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and you can manage or cancel it in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions.
