Press a key, speak, and your words are ready to paste into whatever app you are already using. Slack, Mail, a code editor, a form in the browser. There is no separate window to switch to: release the key, press Command-V, and the text is there.
PRIVATE BY CHOICE
Transcription runs on your own Mac, using a speech model stored on the device. Your audio does not leave it. There is no analytics, no telemetry, and no GlyphDeck account to create. We do not run a server that receives your words, so there is nothing for us to read, sell, or lose.
Two cloud features are available for people who want them. Both stay off until you switch them on, both need an API key you supply yourself, and GlyphDeck tells you exactly what would leave your Mac before you agree to anything.
HOW IT WORKS
Hold your hotkey and talk. Release it, and the cleaned-up text is on your clipboard, ready to paste with Command-V. Choose hold to talk or press to toggle. Pick the speech model that suits your machine, from small and instant to large and more accurate. More than 20 languages are supported, with automatic detection if you move between them.
TEXT YOU CAN ACTUALLY SEND
GlyphDeck does not hand you a raw transcript. Filler words, false starts, and repeated words are removed. Punctuation and capitalization are added. A custom vocabulary teaches it the names, jargon, and spellings it would otherwise guess wrong, and snippets expand a short spoken trigger into a longer block of text you use often.
EVERYTHING YOU DICTATE, KEPT
History holds your past dictations so you can search and reuse them. Notes and recordings sit alongside. Stats track words dictated, your speaking pace, and your daily streak.
OPTIONAL AI ENHANCEMENT
Add your own OpenAI or Anthropic key and GlyphDeck can turn a rough dictation into a finished email, message, or note. It is off by default, and the app is complete without it.
REQUIREMENTS
An Apple silicon Mac running macOS 14 or later. GlyphDeck needs microphone access to hear you, and Input Monitoring so the hotkey works from any app.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of that period. You can manage or cancel a subscription in System Settings, under your name, in Media and Purchases.
