Write it, burn it: in + there's now a leaf for what you'd rather not keep. Write it out, lay a photo on it if you like, and burn it — it catches fire and is gone, from everywhere. It never goes into the diary, its backups or iCloud. Birthdays: switch them on in Settings and Quillow reminds you on the morning of the day, and shows the name at the top of that day's page. Help improve Quillow (iPhone): only if you agree, an anonymous daily count of which features and themes are used — never anything you write. You can change your mind in Settings at any time. And: a new diary starts on light or dark paper to match your device, people's photos have softer corners, and Settings → Music shows what the record does.

Lists on the page: bullets and checklists, drawn as if by hand. Tap a circle to tick it off — the line is struck through and softened. On iPhone they're on the strip above the keyboard; on Mac, ⇧⌘L and ⇧⌘7. Notebooks: pin a note to the top, format it like a diary page, and make lists from the strip above the keyboard. People: hold and drag to put them in your own order. And smoother all round: the world map glides when zoomed in, the page runs down to the edge of the screen, the tabs on the edge are bigger and scroll when there are many, and on Mac the page scrolls on past the last line.

Want to go, want to watch, want to read: tick a place off with a passport stamp, a film with a torn ticket, a book with a bookmark — right in the list, or with a swipe. Each list now shows how many it holds. Hold a tab on the page's edge and drag it to rearrange your notebooks. A to-do ticked on yesterday's page now stays on yesterday. Reminders read "Quillow" with your to-do beneath.

Quillow 4.0 — now a diary, a to-do list and a place for wishes. TO DO A quiet list for each day, right beside your page. Someday for things without a day, a month view, a log of what you've done. Reminders ring on all your devices. I WANT TO Dreams for a lifetime and a vision board for the year: pictures, a few words, and the moment that matters — "Came true", with a small star on that day's page. Export the board as a wallpaper. ALSO Icons on the section tabs, a line under every field so you can see where to write, several people in "With", and the trip story now plays all of the trip's songs.

Search now looks everywhere: every diary, the cards in Movies, Books, Places and People, and your notebook pages — and it finds a name in any of its forms. "With" on a movie or a place you've been: pick people from People as you type, and their names lead to their cards. Permission requests (camera, microphone, location) now speak your language. Trips: mark a city on all of a trip's days at once — days that already have a place keep it. The questions on an empty page now write themselves in, line by line. And the covers have richer colours to choose from. On iPhone, a soft tap when you lay down a sticker, turn a day, or choose the ribbon, a mood or a heart — switch it off in Settings → Media. And a quiet "Leave a review in the App Store" line at the bottom of Settings, if you'd like to say a word.

Quillow now speaks your language more naturally. Russian, Ukrainian, Spanish, Finnish and French were carefully reread and rewritten — the gentle questions on an empty page, the evening reminders and the example diary too. Plus a few small fixes.

Bookmarks: tap the ribbon beside a day's date to keep an important day close. It wears the ribbon in the list, the squares and the calendar, and the list can show only marked days. Sorting: Movies, Books, Places and People have a sort button — by rating, by date, recently added or alphabetical. Loved ones: put a heart on the people closest to you and keep them at the top of People. Links remember: link "Polina" to her card once, and next time it takes a single tap. Covers: tap a card's photo to see it full size, change it or remove it. Settings → Cover now follows the notebook you have open: rename it and choose its colour. On iPhone: undo and redo above the keyboard. And if iCloud is off, Quillow gently reminds you every few months to keep a copy somewhere else.

Small fixes and improvements.

Quillow 3.1 — a notebook that opens wide, and days that remember who was there. iPhone Duo: unfold it and your diary lies open like a real notebook. Choose the spread in Settings → Appearance → iPhone Duo: your page with a margin beside it — the day at a glance, with its place on a small map, your mood, words, songs, photos and videos — or yesterday and today side by side, your days beside the page, or one page in the middle. Links: select a name in your writing — a friend, a film, a book, a place — and choose Link… The words get a quiet dotted line; tap them to open the card. Every card now shows the days that mention it: open a person and find each day you wrote about them. Your moments: in "+", Apple's Journaling Suggestions bring back a moment from your days, and its photos, song and place land on the page in one tap. Quillow only sees the moment you choose, and it stays on your iPhone. Trip stories now end on a map of the trip itself, and close on their own. Also: drawings keep their colours on any paper, the "another version of this day" note sits under the date, and an empty People page says hello from the person who makes Quillow.

Quillow 3.0 — your diary gets neighbours. Sections: tabs on the edge of the page open Movies, Books, Places and People. Keep what you watched and read with stars and a cover, the places that stayed with you, and the people who matter — with a photo, a birthday and a few words. Movies, Books and Places also keep a "want to" list. One section is free; Plus opens them all. Trips the days tell: when your days were spent in another country, Quillow offers to save them as a trip in one tap. Trips can now be deleted from the list. The map is now a tab of its own. Countries and cities can be deleted right from My places, and pinch-zoom stays where your fingers are. New photo frames: washi tape, a stamp and album corners. Seasons: leaves falling on the page — free for everyone until 30 November. Also: a short welcome for new diaries, a small guide the first time you draw, and safer iCloud sync — if sync pauses, Settings says so, and if two devices write the same day offline, the other version is kept for you.

Quillow now speaks Spanish. An example diary: tap the date on an empty page and look through a whole invented month — photos, a map, a trip to Paris told as a little story with music, a month in review. Try any paper on it. Nothing there is saved. The map got easier to wander: search finds your own places first, then countries, and flies straight to them. A new list gathers all your places — by country, by city, by day — filtered by been, lived or want to go. Settings are tidier: Appearance and Media have pages of their own. And at the bottom, a way to write to me — ideas and bugs are always welcome. Quillow Plus is clearer: choose a plan, and see exactly what you pay, and when.

A map of your places. Note where a day was spent, and watch your world fill in on a paper map — countries you've been to, lived in, or want to see. City search uses Apple Maps: only the name you type leaves your device, never your writing. Trips: gather a stretch of days into one chapter, then play it back as a little story of photos, places and a line from each day. Trips come with Quillow Plus. A blank page: in Settings → Ruling, paper with no lines at all. Calendar videos no longer pause your music. On the Mac, bold is lighter and the map zooms with the mouse wheel.

Atmospheres across the page: rain, fireflies, dandelions and stars, always behind your words. Rain is free; the rest come with Quillow Plus. Formatting: a heading, bold, italic, strikethrough, underline, ink colours and a highlighter — select some words and choose. A heading, bold, italic, one colour and one highlighter are free. Earlier Records, in Settings → Backup: every earlier text of a day this device kept, one tap to bring it back — the text that was there stays too. Days now stay on their dates when you cross time zones. Choosing a version in Recover no longer removes the other one. New diaries start in Noteworthy. Noteworthy and New York are free hands.

Quillow Plus: all themes, all fonts and up to five notebooks — by the month, by the year, or once and for good. If you were writing with Quillow before this update, Plus is already yours, as a thank-you. The calendar now opens as pages of the notebook: every written day as a card or a square, with videos that come alive as you scroll.

Fewer interruptions: a reminder no longer appears while the diary is open, and it stays quiet if you've already written today. Pull an empty page down to swap the day's three prompts for another set. Plus a roomier time capsule and tidier settings.

Quillow now speaks French, Finnish, Ukrainian and Russian. Pick your language in Settings → Language, or let Quillow follow your device. Everything is translated — including the daily prompts and the gentle reminders, written to sound like an invitation rather than a form to fill in. As always: nothing you write leaves your device.

Several diaries, if you want them. Some things don't belong on the same page as your day — sleep, dreams, work, a health log. Quillow can now hold up to five separate diaries, each with its own cover, its own name and its own hand. Close the cover and leaf through them like books on a shelf. Your main diary is untouched and everything stays exactly where it was. And if one diary is all you want, nothing changes: this waits quietly behind a switch in Settings. Quillow is also on the Mac now, kept in step through your own iCloud.

Removed Spotify integration, New Font: Avenir, small fix of weekly summary.
