Placed scans your actual room and shows you exactly how your artwork looks on your walls — not a stock photo, not a rough overlay, your real space with real lighting.
Point your iPhone at a wall. Placed uses LiDAR and ARKit to measure dimensions, read the lighting, and map the surfaces automatically. Then swipe through your art collection and watch each piece settle naturally into the scene — correct scale, matched tones, realistic shadows. No tape measure. No typing in numbers. No guessing.
WHAT MAKES PLACED DIFFERENT
Most art preview apps give you a library of sample interiors or ask you to photograph a wall and manually input measurements. Placed does neither. It performs a spatial scan of your room and builds a real understanding of your environment:
Automatic wall measurement — LiDAR captures accurate dimensions without you lifting a finger
Adaptive lighting & tone — the app reads the colour temperature and saturation of your walls so artwork blends naturally, not like a sticker pasted on a photo
Object occlusion — if a lamp, chair, or television sits in front of the wall, Placed recognises it and layers the artwork behind it realistically
Angle correction — photograph your wall from any angle and the perspective adjusts so the artwork sits true
Auto-crop — upload a photo of your art and Placed detects and crops it cleanly

Placed uses Apple's LiDAR sensor (available on iPhone Pro models) for fully automatic wall mapping and the most accurate occlusion. On non-LiDAR iPhones, Placed still works via ARKit — you'll fine-tune wall alignment with a simple on-screen grid, and object occlusion is less precise.
