Modules. Optional tools in Settings. Each stays off until you install it. No downloads needed. Screenshot Cleaner automatically moves older screenshots to the Trash. You choose how long to keep them. Warm Microphone keeps the microphone active so dictation catches your first word. No audio is recorded, stored, or sent. macOS asks for microphone access when you first turn it on.

Night dimming no longer flickers. Belay now waits 30 seconds after another app stops keeping the display awake before dimming it, so videos and similar apps no longer make the screen blink.

See stats for each project. Double-click a session in Statistics to see agent time, sessions, tokens, and recent runs for that folder. The Sessions view now keeps the latest 100 sessions and shows total agent time. Also: the diagnostics log now trims itself automatically instead of growing indefinitely.

Return summaries are more reliable. Closing the lid no longer hides the “while you were away” summary, and it now mentions if your Mac ran hot while you were gone. Also: diagnostics are quieter and more accurate.

One summary when you return. See how long Belay kept your Mac awake while you were away and how many runs finished. Statistics now also includes a list of recent sessions. Also: Statistics no longer flicker on hover, custom timer dialogs open reliably, and a past Until time no longer starts a timer for tomorrow.

Option works too now. Hold Option or Shift while the Sleep delay menu or Always On timer is open to reveal the longer durations.

Long-running commands now keep your Mac awake. Tests and builds can stay quiet for minutes at a time. Belay now follows the work your agent starts, so silent commands still count as work until they finish. More sleep-delay options. Hold Shift while the Sleep Delay menu is open to reveal 15 minutes, 30 minutes, and 1 hour alongside the usual choices.

A rare overnight crash is fixed. With local diagnostics enabled, the log could grow heavier over time until a long night of agent activity caused Belay to crash. A detailed bug report helped track it down. Set the timer by duration or end time. Enter either one and Belay shows the other as you type. Take your statistics with you. Before erasing your history, you can export every recorded day to CSV. Hover over the headline to see your time at the keyboard instead.

Copilot CLI is now built in. Turn it on in Settings and Belay watches its sessions automatically. No folders to choose. Built-in agents can now work from custom folders too. If you use custom config directories or multiple profiles, add those folders in the agent’s settings and Belay will watch them too. Your timer survives a relaunch. Restart Belay and an Always On timer resumes with the same time remaining. More reliable throughout. A broad reliability pass fixed dozens of small issues, including launch stalls and sessions that stayed active longer than they should.

Cline is now built in. Turn it on in Settings and Belay follows its sessions automatically. No folders to choose. Agent teams now appear in the panel. When Cline starts teammate agents, they show up under the session, just like Claude Code subagents. Cleaner agent settings. Each built-in agent now has its own detection tile, and the whole Settings window is easier to scan. Also: sessions touched by other apps' importers no longer wake the panel, and agent switches now show the correct state immediately.

Keep your Mac awake for a set time. Choose anywhere from 15 minutes to 12 hours below the mode picker. Belay shows how much time is left, then lets your Mac sleep when the timer runs out. Keep going with one click. If a timer or your awake limit ends a hold, the panel tells you why and gives you a Hold Again button. Unlocking your Mac resumes the hold automatically. See the countdown on the dimmed screen. When Belay dims the display at night, the time remaining appears in the center of the screen. Hear your week. Move the pointer across the chart in Statistics and each day plays a note. Busier days have a higher pitch. Also: Claude Code and Codex now each have their own switch in Settings, the dimming setting says when dimming actually happens, and What's New has a new card layout.

The panel now stays in sync. Finished turns go quiet within seconds and stay that way. No stale rows after restarts, no jumping back to Working, and the idle timer starts when the session actually goes quiet. Codex crashes no longer linger. If Codex quits or crashes mid-turn, Belay notices the process is gone and lets go within seconds instead of waiting through the retry grace period. Also: opening Codex no longer floods the panel with sessions, and every session transition now gets a line in the local diagnostics log. Nothing is sent off your Mac.

Codex now has built-in detection. Belay reads Codex's own turn markers, so starts and finishes are exact and retries get the same patience as Claude Code. No setup needed. Two more agents are built in. Copilot CLI and OpenCode now have ready-made presets, one click each in Settings. Also: while Belay keeps your Mac awake, it now asks macOS to keep the network active too, so SSH sessions and streaming replies can keep going. And if a preset's folder doesn't exist yet, Belay says so instead of asking for access.

The chart now follows your cursor. Hover over a day in Statistics and the bar lifts while the figures above switch to that day. Move away and the totals return. Pi now has a built-in preset. One click in Settings starts watching its sessions. Added after a request on GitHub. Also: if an agent stops mid-answer, Belay now marks the run as gone quiet instead of finished. And if you launch Belay while a run is already in progress, it picks it up right away.

The display can now dim at night. During the hours you choose, Belay gently dims it when you step away and brings it back when you return. Off by default in Settings > Behavior. Retries no longer look idle. If an agent is waiting on an overloaded model, Belay keeps the Mac awake until the response arrives. Also new: subtle sounds for Welcome and What's New, plus more useful local diagnostics. As always, nothing is sent off your Mac.

The menu bar now lets you know when an update is ready, without interrupting your agents. If a session stops before finishing, Belay now says so clearly. Crash reports can now stay on your Mac. It’s off by default, and nothing is sent automatically. Plus a little polish throughout.
