Cuban Continental
Family Contract Rummy
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Your family's Continental, always on the table. Take your turn with your cafecito — the game waits for you, but the ¡May I! never does. Trios, escaleras, y familia.
The card game your family already plays — now the table is always set.
Cuban Continental is the Continental from after the Nochebuena dishes are cleared: eight rounds of trios y escaleras, jokers AND red aces wild, doubling when somebody goes down and out — and the glorious kitchen-table scramble of ¡May I!
Nobody has to be free at the same time. Take your turn with your morning cafecito. Tía takes hers after the novela. Your cousin takes his at halftime. The game keeps going all week — and when somebody discards the card you need, your phone lights up so you can shout ¡May I! before your prima gets it.
• The real rules — YOUR family's rules. Trios, escaleras, ¡May I!, down-and-out doubling. Fewer arguments at the table. (Fewer. We're not magicians.)
• Play a turn whenever — breakfast, the waiting room, the pharmacy line. The table waits for you like a good grandchild.
• 3 to 8 players. Send Abuelo one link — he taps it and he's at the table. That's it. No passwords, no accounts, no "call your nieto to set it up."
• Learn to Play: a gentle first hand that teaches as you go — for the yernos who swear they already know how to play. Now they will.
• Practice against the house anytime. The house is named Kevin. Kevin can be beaten. Abuelo cannot.
• Private family tables. Just the game and your people.
Deal the cards. Watch the discards. Abuela sees everything.
WHY I BUILT THIS
When my wife and I first started dating, she brought me on her Cuban family's summer trip to the Bahamas. Almost every night the whole family gathered for Continental — the card game of choice, the rules handed down for generations and fiercely defended. Some nights ended in cheers. A few games didn't survive the political arguments. But the next night, everyone was back at the table.
The family is bigger now, and spread out. I built Cuban Continental so the game never has to wait for the next reunion — so Abuelo can play with the grandkids on a random Tuesday, and the only argument left is who really won the ¡May I!.
