Tune the world's radio. Catch a moment of live air. Loop it, wreck it, reverse it, then mix up to 24 ghosts into music that exists nowhere else.
Ghosts is a haunted radio: an instrument that plays the world's airwaves and lets you
keep the moments worth keeping.
Tune a live station. There are thousands of real broadcasters from every corner of
the planet, and you can step through them, search for them, or land on one at random.
The signal plate is always listening to the last 30 seconds of the air. When something
good happens, press CATCH and it becomes a ghost: a loop that plays forever, layered
under the radio, ready to be shaped. A phrase, a chord, a voice, a burst of static.
If you heard it, you can keep it.
WHY YOU'LL KEEP COMING BACK
• A dial with thousands of stations: community radio, college radio, shortwave-style
oddities, dead air and all. Step, search the directory, or hit RND and see where you land.
• Catch with one press, or frame an exact slice of the air: anything from a single
syllable to twenty seconds.
• Up to 24 ghosts loop at once, each with its own strip on the mix console: fader,
mute, solo.
• Shape every ghost in the editor. Pitch it down to a moan, trim the loop to a single
syllable, reverse it, wear it down with tape damage, crush, wow and flutter.
• A master chain tuned for the aesthetic: space, warble, a valve limiter. The whole
mix comes out sounding like a broadcast from somewhere that doesn't exist.
• Record takes of your full mix and share them anywhere. Save sessions and return to
a roster of ghosts exactly as you left it.
• Lock-screen controls and background playback. It's a radio, so it behaves like one.
NO STRINGS
No account. No analytics. No ads. Nothing collected. Your ghosts, sessions, and
recordings live on your device and nowhere else. The radio comes from the
community-run radio-browser.info directory; recording requires your own material in
the mix, because Ghosts is an instrument, not a stream ripper.
