Sidetree

A simpler way to mind map

Free · In‑App Purchases

Mind mapping without managing a mind map. Start with a thought. Branch out. Sidetree handles the layout. Sidetree is a thought-organizing app for Mac, iPad, and Apple Vision Pro. It gives you a clear, structured place to think without spending your time positioning boxes or managing a canvas. MORE WRITING. LESS DIAGRAMMING. Type a thought. Press Return for another. Tab to go deeper. Rearrange your thoughts as your thinking changes. The tree takes shape as you go. Keeps pace with your thinking, even after that fourth cup of coffee. On iPad and Apple Vision Pro, a physical keyboard is highly recommended. Sidetree is best when your hands stay on the keys. Designed to feel immediate and stable on every platform. MAP OR OUTLINE. SAME THOUGHTS. Switch views anytime, or import an outline to get started. Paste an outline from Word or Google Docs, or import plain-text and Markdown files. MADE FOR YOUR THOUGHTS, NOT YOUR SLACK TEAM. No teams. No comments. No accounts. Built for one person at a time. Sidetree is local-first with iCloud sync. Version history and backups are there when you need them, along with PDF, Markdown, and plain-text export. YOUR THINKING SPACE. Choose from Studio, Minimal, and Retro. Sans or mono, light, sepia, or dark. Focus Mode can quiet everything outside the branch you’re working on, while Typewriter Mode keeps the current thought comfortably in view. Try Sidetree free for 14 days. No subscription. Think in trees.
