Log an attack by voice, widget or Action button, without unlocking. The report for your doctor writes itself.
When a migraine starts, filling in a form is the last thing you want to do.
Scotome logs an attack in one gesture: “Hey Siri, I have a migraine”, a tap on the Lock Screen widget, or the Action button. Without unlocking your phone, without opening the app. A timer appears on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, and closes with one tap when it is over.
Everything else is filled in afterwards: intensity, medication, symptoms, side, aura. That is the point of the app — capture first, describe later.
THE REPORT YOUR DOCTOR IS WAITING FOR
An appointment lasts a few minutes. Scotome produces a PDF that goes straight to the numbers a treatment decision rests on:
• headache days per month
• medication days, with the overuse threshold marked
• how well each medication worked, and how long it took
• MIDAS score, the scale neurologists use
• attack calendar, shaded by intensity
An empty cell stays empty: a dash reads “not recorded”, a zero reads “measured at zero”.
TRIGGERS, ONCE THERE IS ENOUGH TO CONCLUDE
Scotome compares your attacks with your own attack-free days, at the same hours — the method used by research on this question. Menstrual cycle, sleep, pressure drops, wind, heavy air, temperature swings.
The analysis stays locked below 15 attack days, and the counter is visible. Below that it would find a link even where there is none. And when nothing stands out, the app says so — which is what makes it credible the times something does.
BUILT FOR EYES THAT HURT
Black background, no blue, no animation, large targets within thumb reach. Photophobia is not a comfort detail.
YOUR DATA STAYS WITH YOU
No account, no server, no advertising. Your attacks live on your iPhone and in your private iCloud. Cycle and sleep are read from the Health app at analysis time, read-only, and never copied. Your location is used only to ask Apple for the weather; it is neither stored nor shared.
FREE, AND WHAT IS NOT
Logging an attack, the timer, the calendar, the journal, iCloud backup: free, forever. The PDF report and the trigger analysis require Scotome Pro, €7.99 per month, cancel anytime.
SUBSCRIPTION
Scotome Pro — €7.99 per month, auto-renewing. One month free for new subscribers. The subscription renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, from your Apple Account settings.
