YOUR BURN TIME, NOT AN AVERAGE ONE
How long unprotected skin can stay in the sun depends on skin type — there is a factor of five between type I and type VI. An app that ignores that is telling half its users the wrong number.
• Six Fitzpatrick skin types, described so you can actually recognise yourself
• SPF 15 to 50 — it goes into the calculation, with its own re-apply reminder
• Every number names its assumptions: "Type II · SPF 30" appears in the app and in the widget, not in a footnote
• Calculated with the standard minimal erythemal dose formula. No invented constants, and always rounded down.
WHAT ELSE THE APP SHOWS
• The protection window: from when to when the UV index reaches level 3 today
• Today's hourly curve — interpolated between samples rather than snapped to the hour. Around midday that difference is quickly 15 percent.
• The place name automatically, with nothing to type in

• A morning reminder — but only on days that actually need protection. A notification about UV 2 is the fastest way to get switched off.
• A re-apply reminder every two hours, for as long as the sun is strong enough to warrant it
YOUR DATA
No account, no sign-up, no ads, no tracking. Your coordinate goes to the weather service (Open-Meteo) and, for the place name, to Apple. Nowhere else. Your skin type and SPF never leave your device.
PRICING
UV Premium is available as an annual subscription or as a one-time unlock. From the second year the one-time unlock is cheaper — it is not a subscription and does not renew. Both prices are shown in your own currency, in the App Store and in the app.
The annual subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends; payment is charged to your Apple account. You can manage and cancel it at any time in your Apple account settings.
