Spot the lie. Stop the loss.
You work for a fraud-response unit. Someone hands you a phone and asks you to prove what is really happening — before the money moves.
INVESTIGATE A PHONE THAT ISN'T YOURS
Everything is on it. Messages, emails, photographs, documents, browser history, notes, calendar entries, call logs, transactions. Read all of it, because the lie is never in one place — it is the gap between what someone said on Tuesday and what a receipt says about Thursday.
A case file opens as a page — letterhead, payee line, small print — so a detail that contradicts another is something you see, not something you are told.
Pin anything that doesn't survive scrutiny. Pinned clues go to your case file, where you assign each one to a stage of the SCAM CHAIN: the sequence a fraud actually follows, from first contact to the moment the money is gone.
When two clues cannot both be true, link them and prove the contradiction. Noticing is not enough here. You have to say so.
DECIDE, THEN LIVE WITH IT
Your client is a frightened person with money at risk, not a second detective. They message you while you work. They push you towards things that don't matter and away from things that do. Every one of them is wrong at least once, and how much trust you keep with them changes what they let you see.
At the end you choose an intervention — how, and how hard, to step in — and submit your conclusion. Three broad endings per case. One score out of 100. A debrief that finally shows the working: what you found, what you missed, and what the phone had been telling you all along.
THREE CASES
The Perfect Match — a romance that becomes an investment opportunity. $12,000 at risk. Free, and it stays free.
The Dream Apartment — a deposit on a flat that may not exist. $2,800 at risk.
The Urgent Boss — an executive who needs a transfer today, quietly. $18,500 at risk.
WHAT THIS IS NOT
It is a game. It cannot see your phone, and it never asks to.
It does not scan your real messages, email, photos, contacts, accounts or device — it requests no permissions at all. It cannot tell you whether something you received in real life is genuine, recover money, identify anyone, or protect you from fraud. Nothing in it is legal or financial advice.
Every person, company, platform, domain, document and transaction is invented. The tactics are real. The people are not. Learning to recognise the shape of one is a side effect of playing well, never a promise on a box.
BUILT TO NEED NOTHING
No account. No sign-in. No internet connection. No advertising, no energy timers, no waiting. Your progress stays on your device, because there is no server for it to go to.
The first case is free. The Starter Case Pack is a one-time purchase that unlocks the other two permanently — not a subscription, and nothing else to buy.
Full screen reader support, text that scales, a reduce-motion setting, and a transcript for every voice note. No clue ever depends on hearing something.
Intended for players aged 16 and over.
