Tap to earn compute (OPS), research algorithms to automate it, and spend your OPS to decode the digits of pi (π) one at a time. Decoded digits pile up on screen, and each one makes your computation a little faster.

Gregory–Leibniz series (1671), Machin's formula (1706), Monte Carlo (1949), FFT multiplication (1971), Chudnovsky series (1988) and more — researching real algorithms speeds up your computation. Each one comes with a short explanation, its formula, and references.
■ Pi digit tape
Read back the digits you decoded as a full-screen table.
■ Recomputation
Hit a wall, commission a new machine, and start over from 3.14. You keep a permanent bonus based on your deepest verified digit, so each run goes faster and deeper than the last.
■ Milestones from history
Archimedes's polygons, Shanks's hand computation, ENIAC's 2,037 digits — each depth you reach decodes another piece of history.
