Most flashcard apps keep you staring at a screen. Tobokachi turns your daily spaced-repetition reviews into a printable PDF, so you can study with a pen: on paper, on an iPad or on an e-ink tablet.
WHY PAPER?
Writing a word by hand makes you actually recall it, not just recognize it. And a sheet of paper has no notifications.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Save words as you meet them, inside the app or from any other app with the Share button.
2. Turn them into cards: the word and its translation.
3. Every day, at the time you choose, Tobokachi builds today's session with FSRS, a modern spaced-repetition algorithm, and creates a PDF with exactly the cards you need.
4. Study it by hand: print it, write on it with Apple Pencil, or send it to your e-ink tablet.
5. Back in the app, rate each card. FSRS schedules the next review so you don't forget it.
