Not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Swedish Council for Higher Education (UHR), Skolverket or Migrationsverket. Since 6 June 2026, knowledge of Swedish society is required for Swedish citizenship (Swedish Citizenship Act 2001:82, as amended by Act 2026:447). The knowledge is shown with a pass grade in civics or with the citizenship test. You can only register for the test once Migrationsverket has sent you an anvisningsbrev. The test is run by UHR. The August 2026 test was sat on paper in Swedish, lasted 90 minutes and contained around 60 multiple-choice questions with four options each. From 2027 the fee is SEK 2,000 per sitting; tests in 2026 are free. UHR's study material, Sverige i fokus, is the material to prepare for the test. The questions themselves are always in Swedish, because the test is. ▸ A custom mock exam: your themes, your number of questions, your own timer or the pace of the test ABOUT RESULTS UHR publishes no pass mark, so this app states none. You get facts instead: your accuracy overall and per chapter, and how it moves over time. The app's own readiness marker is labelled as the app's - it is not a test result and says nothing about how UHR grades. WHO IS EXEMPT The requirements apply to you if you are between 16 and 66. A pass grade in civics from compulsory school, upper secondary school, folkhögskola at upper secondary level or Komvux also shows the knowledge. A disability or other reasons can lead to an exemption. SFI shows Swedish skills, not civics knowledge. Exemptions are decided by Migrationsverket - see the link under OFFICIAL SOURCES. New: the mock exam follows the August 2026 test, 60 questions in 90 minutes, and the clock keeps running when you leave the app. As in the test, you can go back and change an answer, in the custom exam too. Your result is shown against our own level, since UHR sets no pass mark. Questions were corrected against the law. A finished session is saved right away, even offline.
