Wine, vinyl & board game list

Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Scan a barcode and known titles land on the card instantly. Photographing a whole shelf and cataloging every spine arrives later this year. VisionShelf is a catalog for the things you collect - books, wine, board games and vinyl - built by scanning a barcode or adding an item by hand. It keeps the title, edition, condition and estimated value of what you own, totals what the collection is worth, and tells you when you are about to buy a second copy. You are standing in a used bookshop holding something you are almost certain you already own. Almost. You buy it. You did. Meanwhile your collection lives on two shelves, in a box in the attic, and with a friend you can no longer name. The spreadsheet you started did not survive either - typing a title, an author, a year and a condition for four hundred items is data entry, not a hobby. WHAT YOU CAN DO Scan a barcode and have the title matched on your device Add anything by hand when there is no barcode Keep books, wine, board games and vinyl in one place Record condition from Poor to Mint, with a value that adjusts with it See what the whole collection is worth and which item leads it Check your shelf in the shop, and review anything that looks like a copy Keep a wishlist of what you are hunting, with a target condition Note who borrowed what, and mark it returned when it comes back Group items into your own shelves and label them signed or to read Sort and filter by title, year or value, and export the lot as a spreadsheet Start a new item by asking Siri WHO IT'S FOR You buy books faster than you read them and have bought one twice You collect wine and cannot recall what is still in the rack Your board games have outgrown the cupboard and half are lent out You are building a record collection and want condition per pressing You want one honest total for the collection instead of a guess HOW IT WORKS 1. Pick what you collect most, so new items start in the right place. 2. Scan a barcode, or type in the details for anything that has none. 3. Set the condition and a value; the collection total updates itself. 4. Search, sort, lend and check for duplicates from there. QUESTIONS PEOPLE ASK Can I photograph a whole shelf and catalog it in one go? Not yet. Whole-shelf scanning - pointing the camera at a full bookshelf and cataloging every spine at once - arrives in a future update, with Apple Intelligence. Until then you add items one at a time, and everything you catalog now carries over. What can I collect in it? Novels, comics and cookbooks; bottles and vintages; board games and expansions; LPs, singles and pressings. Anything else goes in by hand. Does barcode scanning need a connection? Barcodes are matched to a title on your device and stored as data only. Where does the value come from? You do. You enter an estimated value and choose a condition, and VisionShelf adjusts the figure for that condition and totals the collection. It is your estimate, not a live market price. How does lending work? Mark an item lent and say who has it. It shows as lent out until you mark it returned. Is there a limit before Pro? Cataloging is free and unlimited, at any tier. PRIVACY VisionShelf catalogs your collection on your device. There is no account, and nothing is uploaded. The camera is used only to read an item's barcode; the photo is processed on your device and never leaves it, and you can skip camera access and type everything by hand. Without Pro the app shows ads, personalized only if you allow tracking. PRO Unlimited cataloging, barcode scanning, manual entry, condition and value, the duplicate check, the wishlist and the lending tracker are all included at no cost. Pro unlocks the spreadsheet export, custom shelves, more labels per item, and whole-shelf scanning when it arrives.
