The ICU App is the official mobile app of the Educational Society of Bedside Intensive Care Medicine (ESBICM). It is for ESBICM members who want to access learning content and account information already associated with their membership.
This app is professional education for members. It is not a medical device, not a bedside monitor, and not a tool for emergency or clinical decision-making.
Sign in with your existing ESBICM member account to:
• Read notices and member updates
• Browse ICUtips and educational clinical pearls
• Watch available educational videos
• Open library resources and documents available to your account
• View live class information
• Check profile status, certificates, and invoices for completed ESBICM records
• Use member community chat where your account already has access
Some content appears only when your signed-in account already includes that access. The app does not sell memberships, subscriptions, courses, events, or ESBICM Plus. It does not include in-app purchases.
The ICU App is intended for qualified healthcare professionals and ESBICM members. Always follow your local clinical protocols and use independent professional judgment.

Chat
- Group topics with a dedicated topics screen and a details hub showing topics and members
- Message info (read / delivered lists) now loads in pages, so it opens instantly in large groups and scrolls properly
- Sender badges, faculty highlights and roster-based identity in groups
- Connection status is shown only when a problem lasts more than a few seconds, with a neutral "Connecting…" notice instead of a red alert bar
- Reconnection after switching networks or returning from the background is now immediate
Notifications
- Tapping a notification always opens its destination, regardless of how long ago it arrived
- Notification taps are no longer interrupted by an app update applying in the background
General
- App updates apply on the branded splash or on return from the background; the unreliable "Restart to update" prompt is gone
- Group details screen starts at the top and member search no longer hides behind the keyboard
- Slightly refined ICU Tips card typography
- Numerous performance fixes
