Advanced understands AND, OR, NOT, NEAR and wildcards; Regular expression is there for the searches nothing else can express. Both are part of Pro. FIND YOUR DOCUMENTS FROM ANYWHERE • Your indexed documents can appear in Spotlight, so a half-remembered phrase typed on the Home Screen opens the right file. Off by default, Pro only, and switching it off removes them again. • Siri can search your documents out loud, and Shortcuts can run the same search inside any automation you build. The search itself still happens entirely on this phone. CLEARER RESULTS • A snippet now highlights every term that matched it, not just the first. • A snippet says how many matches it holds, so a page full of hits reads as one result instead of a wall of near-identical ones. • Searching part of a word now reports the whole word that was found. • The Reader keeps finding matches past the first fifty on a long document. • CSV exports record which matches came from OCR, which Markdown and the PDF report already did.
