• Video calls are far more responsive: lost video is now repaired on the fly instead of freezing the picture, and calls adapt to your connection within a second instead of several. • Smoother video on Wi-Fi: traffic is sent evenly rather than in bursts. • Speaker button: fixed the silence after switching between earpiece and loudspeaker; the button now shows which one is active.

• Speaker button in calls: switch between the earpiece and the loudspeaker any time during a voice or video call. • Video calls now play on the loudspeaker by default. • Fixed call audio: fixed calls that could connect with no voice, and fixed one-way audio where the person you called could not hear you. • More reliable audio when placing several calls in a row.

• Add people to a call: while on a video or voice call, tap the add-person button to bring in a third or fourth person. The call becomes a small group call without dropping anyone. • Someone whose connection drops mid-call is now removed from the call for everyone within seconds. • Fixed incoming calls not ringing while Marivil was closed. • Better battery life: Marivil pauses its live connection in the background and resumes the moment you return. • A lighter connection to the server, with far fewer wake-ups, and fixed live connections that could drop every few minutes.

• Fixed a problem where your video could stay black for the person you called. • New Permissions screen in Settings shows what Marivil needs — microphone, camera, notifications — and helps you switch anything back on that was turned off. • Marivil now tells you during a call if your camera is blocked, instead of quietly sending a black picture. • Links in chats can now be tapped to open. • Faster, more reliable contact matching.
