A 1 cm ball on a 1 m track. Tilt your phone and it rolls - that is the whole control scheme. Every ball has a weight, and weight changes how it handles.
Steelball Go is an endless runner about rolling a small steel ball down a dirt track.
Your wrist is the only control. Tilt left and right, and the ball rolls where you lean it.
■ Tilt or drag to roll
Tilt your phone and the ball rolls. No motion sensor, or you declined the permission? Dragging on the screen plays exactly the same. Each start re-centres on however you are holding the phone right now, so lying down or sitting up both work.
■ Hit something or leave the track and the run ends there
The track is one metre wide and the ball is one centimetre across. Dodge the wooden crates and the sliding blocks. If you go over the edge you watch the ball fall, and the distance you rolled is your score: 1 m is 1 point. Your personal best goes to the Game Center leaderboard.
■ Weight is the only thing that changes how you handle
Every ball belongs to one of five weight classes, from feather to massive. Light balls answer instantly but overshoot; heavy balls hold their line but need you to start turning early. Top speed is the same for all of them, so weight is a feel, not a stat.
■ A practice run and a course to clear
New here? Start with practice. It teaches rolling forward, steering, picking up coins and dodging obstacles in that order, and walls on both sides keep you from falling off. Course mode is a fixed, hand-built track: the same layout every time, timed, with up to three stars for how quickly you finish.
■ Unlock looks with gold coins
Pick up the gold coins on the track and change your ball in the shop. Gold only changes how a ball looks and handles - there are no score multipliers and no revives to buy.
■ Plays with the sound off
Music and effects are separate switches and both are remembered. Nothing you need to react to is delivered by sound alone: what just happened is also written on screen, so the game reads the same with the volume down.
■ Ads
There is no sign-up and no login. A banner sits at the bottom of the screen, and a full-screen ad can appear after you tap Roll Again on the result screen - never during a run. Rewarded ads exist and every one of them starts only when you tap it yourself. Your records and settings stay on your device.
