Three virtual tape heads and a spring tank. Twelve modes combine the heads with the reverb, from a single slapback to a full dub echo. Set the left and right repeat rates on their own, link them, or lock them to your host's tempo. Input Drive pushes the tape into saturation. Wow, flutter and hiss add the wear. Bass and Treble shape the repeats, and because they also sit inside the feedback loop, each repeat gets a little darker. The spring tank has its own Decay, Tone and Level. Three stereo modes (L/R, Ping-Pong and Mid/Side), plus Width and Rate Offset. One LFO, with sine, triangle, square or sample & hold, can move the repeat rate, pan, reverb mix or tone. Twenty-four presets, not two hundred. We cut the library from 41 to 24 because the extra ones sounded too close and would just be preset bloat. Turn Intensity all the way up and it runs away into self-oscillation, on purpose. An output limiter keeps it from clipping. Three panels: graphite NOIR, green Classic and Neon. DawgDelay-201 is an Audio Unit (AUv3). It runs inside a host app such as Logic Pro, GarageBand, AUM, Cubasis or Loopy Pro, and needs one to process audio.
