Compare seating estimates in Tokyo and Osaka. Choose a station, direction and time; explore upcoming stops. Public-data estimates, not live seat availability.
Seat Forecast helps you compare estimated seating opportunities on supported train lines in the Tokyo and Osaka areas. Choose your boarding station, direction, service type, day and hour, then compare upcoming stops and cars.
Coverage
Tokyo: 21 supported lines, including Tokyo Metro, Toei Subway, Tokyu and selected JR lines.
Osaka: 13 supported lines, including Osaka Metro, Kita-Osaka Kyuko, Kintetsu Keihanna and Osaka Monorail. Not all railways in Japan or the Kansai region are supported.
The estimates use public passenger-flow, crowding and station-facility data. Sources, dates and limitations are shown in the app. Some car comparisons are unavailable where supporting data is insufficient. Predictions have not been validated against observed seating outcomes and do not guarantee a seat or show live seat availability. Official Osaka Metro train-position and crowding pages can be opened separately.
No account or precise-location permission is required. You may optionally report whether you found a seat by sending a prefilled email. The reminder appears every third explicit prediction and can be dismissed. Feedback is not sent automatically.

Added Osaka-area support alongside Tokyo, with an area selector and clearer station, direction and time setup. Improved the presentation of data sources and prediction limitations. Added links to official Osaka Metro crowding information and optional seating feedback by email. Feedback reminders appear every third prediction and can be skipped.
