Pick a screenshot under "From a file" and Wren now reads it. It used to refuse and list the export formats it reads, which was true and no help at all — the file picker shows every picture on your device, and the first screen asks you to screenshot things. Wren now recognises a picture by its contents and sends it to the same reader as "Add screenshots": same city question, same ranked candidates, same corrections.

Share a reel or a post to Wren, and it reads the places out of it. Somebody sends you five restaurants in Rome. Share the post to Wren — no screenshots, no typing — and the names come back ready to check and save to your map. Wren's server fetches the post, reads it and discards it. The video never reaches your phone and Wren never keeps it. Screenshots work exactly as they did, and are still free. Reading posts is a one-time purchase with a fair-use allowance of 250 posts a month. If you already own Guides of Any Size there is a smaller price to add it.

Send a screenshot straight to Wren. Somebody sends you a reel with three places in it. Screenshot it, tap Share, and pick Wren — the places are read the moment it opens. No leaving the app you were in, no going back through the photo picker. Several images at once work too. That is the whole change. Nothing about how Wren reads a screenshot or builds a guide has moved.

Groundwork, mostly. Nothing has changed in how Wren reads a screenshot or makes a guide. Complimentary access now re-confirms itself from time to time, so a code that was given away can be withdrawn. If you bought the unlock, none of this touches you — a purchase is yours, and Wren never re-checks it.
