AltiPuls turns the barometer in your Apple Watch into a live altitude reading, a history chart and a complication on your watch face. Know how high you are — and how high you have been today. AltiPuls reads the barometer and GPS in your Apple Watch and iPhone and turns them into a live altitude reading and a history chart you can actually read. KEY FEATURES - Live altitude above sea level, in meters or feet - History chart with ranges from 30 minutes to 7 days - Daily altitude records - GPS route on a map (iPhone) - Watch-face complications: value, chart, and a small circular one THREE WAYS TO COLLECT DATA 1. From workouts — AltiPuls imports altitude from workout routes in the Health app. Read-only: it never writes anything back. 2. Background refresh (Eco mode) — periodic altitude snapshots with minimal battery use. 3. Continuous tracking (Precise mode) — live measurement and GPS route recording. IMPORTANT: ADD THE COMPLICATION Eco mode collects data regularly only if the AltiPuls complication sits on your active watch face. This is how watchOS works: without a complication on the face, the system does not grant the app background time. Adding it takes thirty seconds, and it is the difference between a full chart and an empty one. BATTERY Precise mode records continuously and uses noticeably more battery. Use it for a hike, a run or a day on the slopes, and leave Eco mode on for everyday use. PRIVACY Your altitude, your records and your routes stay on your device. There is no account, no server of ours, no tracking and no ads. The only thing loaded from the network is the map itself, drawn by Apple Maps. REQUIREMENTS An Apple Watch with a barometric altimeter, or an iPhone with a barometer.
