Shape the sound of everything your Mac plays. MyEQ applies an equalizer to the system's audio output, right from the menu bar.
MyEQ applies an equalizer to everything your Mac plays — music, videos, browsers, games — without changing any app's own settings.
It lives in the menu bar. Click the waveform icon, pick a preset, and the sound changes immediately.
WORKS WITH WHAT YOU ALREADY USE
MyEQ processes the system's audio output, so it affects every app at once. There is nothing to configure in each application, and no external hardware is required.
PRESETS THAT MATCH YOUR OUTPUT
MyEQ detects the current output device and suggests a preset for it. You can also assign a preset to a specific device, and MyEQ will restore that choice the next time you connect it.
Bundled presets include:
- Headphone corrections for AirPods Pro (2nd generation), AirPods Max (USB-C), AirPods 4 (ANC) and EarPods, derived from the open-source AutoEq project
- Four voicings tuned for the MacBook Air (M4) built-in speakers: Clear, Bass Boost, Vocal and Night
MORE THAN AN EQUALIZER
Alongside the parametric equalizer, MyEQ includes a maximizer for loudness, multiband dynamics, and a bass enhancer.
YOUR AUDIO STAYS ON YOUR MAC
MyEQ processes audio in real time on your device. It never stores audio, never writes audio files, and never transmits audio or any other data. It performs no network communication at all.
MyEQ needs permission to record system audio. This is what lets it apply an equalizer to the sound your Mac plays, and it is used for no other purpose. You can revoke it at any time in System Settings.
