A bigger Palette • New rainbow tint bar: slide to any colour and the whole photo takes on its cast; double-tap to clear it • Tone and colour now go further at the ends: shadows can sink to black, and autumn leaves glow a richer orange The look menu is tidier, with your recipes no longer crowded, especially in English Snap's zoom bar marks each lens and clicks into it as you pass; double-tap the bar to go back to 1x

New: edit any photo from your library • Tap "Pick one to edit" in the roll to choose any photo in your library, however old • Give it AIO's looks, filters, grain, portrait retouching, text and frames • The edited copy keeps the original date and place, and the original is left untouched The mode row is now a wheel: flick left or right to switch, just like the built-in Camera

New: Snap mode • Nothing on screen but the shutter: aim and press, and the camera handles exposure and white balance • After each shot, AI looks at what's in the photo and how it's lit, then picks its colour, filter and texture, so no two come out alike • Like a roll of film back from the lab, you only see it when it comes up • Open a photo in the roll to see what it drew

• Fixed exposure compensation (EV) sometimes not changing the picture's brightness • EV now reaches -5 to +5; focus, exposure and white balance in P, and the shutter in S and M, go back to AUTO with one tap • Fixed the selfie camera opening in landscape on some models

• New Roll mode: nothing on screen but the shutter. After each shot, AI reads the photo and picks its look, filter and texture, so you only find out when it comes up, like a roll of film back from the lab • Tap a Roll photo to browse and edit it in the roll, and see what it drew • S mode's safety shift is now on by default: when the ISO needed is out of range, the shutter adjusts so photos no longer come out too dark or too bright

• White balance can be remembered: a chosen preset or colour temperature stays after you reopen the app (switch it on in the white balance menu or in Settings) • Pressing the shutter in quick succession in Film and Unprocessed no longer fails • Finer steps among the fast manual shutter speeds, up to the sensor's limit • Night mode: cleaner, brighter pictures in near darkness, and it comes on sooner in dim scenes • RAW files carry an embedded preview, so Photos and other apps show them straight away

• The shutter now sits above the Portrait / Photo / Video row, where the system Camera has it, for an easier reach • Night mode: a lit street at night no longer comes out too bright, and keeps the feel of night • Fixed white patches on vivid reds and yellows in the Film and Unprocessed viewfinder

Everything is done on this iPhone; no photo is uploaded • One slider for a natural retouch, or adjust by part: skin, shape, eyes, nose, mouth • Blemish removal, and Heal: tap a spot and it is gone • Softer wrinkles and crow's feet • In a group photo, choose which faces to retouch • The editor's preview is now one large picture: pinch to zoom, and hold to compare with the original

• The film and original engines get a lens wheel: lenses are named by focal length, one flick changes one lens, and you feel it come off and go on • Swiping across the viewfinder now changes the filter, and the filters are reordered with the popular ones first • Every filter has a strength from 0 to 100, remembered per filter • Too close to focus no longer switches lenses by itself; a hint offers the ultra-wide and a tap takes it • The white balance dial names its lights (daylight, tungsten and so on), and its scale no longer jumps as you turn it • Zooming or changing lenses no longer makes the focus, exposure and white balance buttons jump

• Watermark position shortcuts: tap to snap it to a corner or bottom centre, or still drag it anywhere • The watermark slider is now labelled Opacity in Chinese too; 100% is fully opaque

• Manual dials now print their numbers on the scale, and whole stops click harder than thirds • Use your own transparent PNG as the watermark • Photo info lists places near where a photo was taken and opens them in Apple Maps; the editor's caption can take a place's name • ISO can be set to AUTO in M • The manual focus loupe can be closed, and Settings decides whether the loupe and focus peaking show • Over-exposure and slow-shutter notices move to the top of the picture, so the dial stops jumping • A pin on the photo preview takes you to Apple Maps to save where it was taken • Fixed the orientation of landscape shots taken from above • Fixed the dial scale flickering as you turn it

• Switch between General and Pro • Custom looks: save the recipe you dialled in on the look pad under your own name, up to five, and tap to bring it back; long press to update, rename or delete. • Watermark your videos too, with separate switches for photos and videos.

AIO Camera 4.0 — a major update • iPhone 18 Pro variable aperture: the dial in A and M runs from f/1.48 to f/4 — in thirds of a stop for photos, stepless for video — and the iris glides as you turn, with no jumps in the viewfinder. • Aperture while recording: in A mode, turn the aperture mid-take — depth of field changes, brightness stays put. • Manual focus: tap Focus in P, or switch the dial to focus in S, A and M. Focus peaking outlines what is sharp in red, a loupe shows the detail, and tapping the loupe returns to autofocus. • Auto macro (Film and Original engines): when a tap can't focus that close, the camera switches to macro and 0.5× turns into the flower; tap something farther away to go back. • Keep Subject: every subject in the viewfinder gets a number — tap one to keep only it, tap the background to keep them all. • The editor gains Brightness, and Keep Subject lets you tap each subject to keep it in colour or turn it grey. • New look, Natural (H): neutral and smooth colour, replacing Natural. • Watermark: from the top drawer, put your own words on every photo — set the opacity, drag them into place and pinch to size. • Tidier controls: one pop-up at a time; the quick drawer now pulls down from the top; the shutter, ISO and EV wheels go darker to the right and brighter to the left, with the scale following your finger. • Camera Control: the zoom number matches the picture, and in the Film and Original engines the slide steps between the 0.5×, 1× and 4× lenses. • Fixed the app's storage growing over time: temporary photos and videos left from the last session are cleared at launch. • Fixed haptics going quiet after visiting video; the microphone is no longer left on while taking photos.

• Smoother viewfinder in Portrait, fixing stutter on some iPhones • Share a photo straight to your Instagram or Facebook Story in one tap, and quickly to Threads • Fixed thin magenta edges around street lamps and other bright lights in night shots

THREE ENGINES • Standard: the iPhone's own processing • Original: developed straight from RAW, without Apple's sharpening or local tone mapping • Film: Original plus the texture of film, with grain and halation to start FILM TEXTURE • Halation: the red-orange ring film throws around bright lights • Glow: a soft, diffusion-filter bloom, live in the viewfinder • New grain: blacks stay clean, and colour film carries a touch of colour in its grain • Grain, halation and glow each have their own setting on the pad EASIER • Faster capture, noticeably so on older iPhones • Select several photos in the review screen to share or delete at once • Photos saved to your library or shared are named AIO_date_time • A 2x button in M and S • Firmer dial detents, and an exposure wheel in P • The startup look is one of the seven styles, Hiyori by default NIGHT • Night mode now also comes on in the Original and Film engines • Fewer hot pixels, no magenta rims on street lamps, fewer ghosts of passers-by

• New Portrait mode, next to Photo and Video: one tap to 2x, with skin gently softened and a softer, more natural skin tone. • On a tripod, the "Slow shutter" warning no longer stays on during long exposures. • In standard mode, S and M now note once that the photo's shutter and ISO are set by the system and are approximate. • Fixed a faint halo around people's edges with some looks, such as Hiyori (F). • Fixed photos shared by AirDrop to a Mac arriving as hidden files. They are now named by capture time.

• Variable aperture on iPhone 18 Pro: the new A (Aperture Priority) mode opens and closes the main lens between f/1.48 and f/4.0 for real, and M mode can name an aperture directly. • New Highlight protection: the film engine now rolls the brightest tones into white instead of letting them hit it, so petals, cloud and reflections keep their detail. Can be turned off in Settings. • New look, Lucid (S): clear colour at a slightly lower contrast. As Shot has moved onto the tone pad. • Exposure compensation (EV) in S and A modes. • S and M now say so when the camera cannot reach the exposure you asked for, or when the shutter is slow enough to shake. • The white balance temperature dial now lands exactly on the daylight, tungsten and other presets.

Fixes manual shutter and ISO not taking effect in M and S modes on some models.
