We’re a small team of surfers from a place known for world class micro waves, and yes, we have a bit of a chip on our shoulder.
Our waves may be small, but we love them. When the Gulf starts cranking, every foot matters, every hour counts, and the right forecast can be the difference between scoring and hearing, “You should have been here yesterday.”
We believe every surfer deserves a killer surf report, not just those lucky enough to live near famous breaks.
Salty Mermaid turns live marine, weather, and water level forecasts into a clear, easy to understand surf read for the breaks you care about. We’re continually listening to surfer feedback and improving the app and its forecasting algorithm to help you choose the right break, grab the right board, and know when it’s time to paddle out.

Salty Mermaid Pro is an auto renewing subscription that unlocks worldwide spot search, surf report notifications, and optional connections to your own OpenAI, Anthropic, or xAI API token. Core live forecast reading will always remain free.
