iPhone
plio business is the remote for the music in your venue. The room plays itself on a schedule: a quiet morning, a busier lunch, a warmer evening. You open the app only when you want to change something.
The music is licensed for public performance in venues — with no extra fees to collective rights management organisations.
THE ROOM
The first screen is not settings, it is the zones your venue sounds in. You can see what is playing in the room, on the terrace and at the bar right now: the track, the playlist, and why that one — on schedule, or because you picked it by hand. You can see the players too: which one is connected, which is playing, and how loud. A zone with no player says so.
A WEEK OF SCHEDULE
One day fills the screen, the week is a swipe away. A time span, a playlist, a volume — and the finished day is copied onto weekdays, the weekend or the rest of the week in one tap. A span may cross midnight, so a night shift breaks nothing. Per-span settings add shuffle, repeat, crossfade, fade in and fade out.
THE REMOTE
«Play now» — when guests ask for something else: pick a playlist or an album and the zone switches within seconds. «Restart» — when it has to start over. «Back to schedule» — and the room lives by the plan again.
ANALYTICS
How many tracks played each hour over a week, a month or a quarter, how many were heard through and how many were skipped, top tracks and playlists. Red marks the hours the schedule covered and nothing played: a way to learn about silence in the room without standing in it.
CATALOGUE
Albums and playlists with search, genre and mood filters and sorting — so you can find what fills a span quickly.
THE PHONE AS A PLAYER
Usually the sound comes from a separate device and the phone stays a remote. But for a small room the phone can be the source itself: pick a zone and it plays, including with the screen locked.
A VENUE IN A MINUTE
A name, a musical style, a time zone — and the venue is created straight from the phone, together with its first zone and a background playlist.
A plio venue account is required.
Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
«Add device» now actually adds a device, every time. The button always worked; the scanner was just too shy to appear, because iOS will not open two windows in a row. We talked it round.
Any device can play a room: Apple TV, Mac or a mini PC. The app no longer assumes the world is made of set-top boxes.
Plus a few fixes, so the music plays and you never think about the app.
