Bug fixes and improvements: • The camera runs cooler and smoother, especially on older iPhones. The live view no longer heats the phone up or drops frames, and it eases off evenly when your phone is warm or in Low Power Mode. Your photos are exactly as before. • Choosing photos to develop is simpler: Chamber asks for photo access once with the standard iOS prompt, then shows your photos in a row. A notice whose OK button didn't respond is gone. • Autofocus is on whenever you open Chamber or switch to another camera body. Turn the focus dial, or switch AF off in Manual, to focus by hand. • The live view matches the colours of your developed photo more closely. • Smoother animations and lower memory use across the app.

Chamber 2.0 is three rooms and one dock. SHOOT, DEVELOP, ROLL Turn the dial under your thumb to move between the camera, the darkroom and your roll. The picture advances like film as you turn, so you see where you are going before you let go. Nothing is stacked over the camera any more. MANUAL IN ONE PULL Pull EXPOSURE up and let go: the camera goes to manual, and the rail's rim turns amber. Pull again for auto. A body that sets its own exposure says so, and offers one with a dial. ONE TRAY FOR LOOKS, BODIES AND FILMS Tap LOOK or FILM and a row of cards rises over the rail. A tap applies a card at once: the picture changes, nothing to confirm. Pull LOOK up to go back to the named look; your own pairing is kept. A DARKROOM IN PLACE Develop the newest frame from your roll, a photo from your library, or a set of several at once, right on the glass. FEEL Every body winds on in its own way, and each change has a haptic of its own. Choose Full, Light or Off in Settings. AND A new typeface throughout, a half-press that locks exposure and focus, tap to focus and pinch to zoom on the glass, the date and exposure of every frame on the roll, and lessons on the live camera the first time you open it.

Two of the most talked-about things in Chamber are now free for everyone. DATE STAMP — NOW FREE The stamp in the corner is the signature of the whole genre. It shouldn't have been behind a paywall. It isn't any more. DELAYED DEVELOP — NOW FREE Hide your shots for three hours and let them arrive when they're ready. Shoot, don't chimp. START HERE The film drawer and the camera cabinet now open with a short curated set — 8 films and 6 bodies worth shooting first — ahead of the full catalogue. Most of them are free, so the shortlist is an on-ramp, not a storefront. EVERY FILM AND BODY NOW SAYS WHAT IT DOES A plain-language character line sits under the selector on the capture screen. "Landscape drama, maxed." "Made it cool to be square." You know what you've loaded before you press the shutter. REDUCE MOTION, EVERYWHERE Turn on Reduce Motion in iOS Settings and every animated surface in Chamber now settles instantly — including the record dot that used to pulse forever. A NEW ICON A new machined face on your Home Screen. And if you'd rather own it than rent it: Chamber Pro now leads with the one-time Lifetime option. One payment, no subscription.
