Say where you are going. The days come back in order on a map — real routes between stops, food near where you will be, somewhere to sleep, and what it all costs. Trip planning, minus the afternoon. Describe the trip the way you would to a friend — "four days in Lisbon in October, we like markets and we walk everywhere" — by typing it or by saying it. What comes back is the whole thing in order: the days on a map, real routes between the stops, somewhere to eat near where you will actually be, a neighbourhood to sleep in, and what the lot will cost. WHAT IS IN IT • Say it, don't type it. Tap and talk, and describe the trip in your own words. Stopping talking is what submits it; there is no second button to find. • The days on a map, in order, with each hop between stops routed on real transit data rather than drawn as a straight line. • Food near that day's stops — not near your hotel — narrowed by your budget and how you are getting around. • Somewhere to sleep, worked out from where your days actually are, with the walk in minutes and the booking links pre-filtered to your party, budget and that area. • What it will cost: seven lines for the whole trip and the whole party, each one showing what it assumed, because a number with nothing behind it is one you can only argue with. • Tickets from the venue's own booking page rather than a reseller. A venue whose page could not be found is reported as not found. • It plans around your calendar. Link one by its own published address — no account needed — or connect Google, up to four, each named and coloured, and an in-person meeting is never planned over. With Google connected the whole day goes in on one tap, one event per activity with the time, the place and the note on it, and comes back out just as exactly. • A one-time profile — budget, pace, who is with you, how you get around — replayed as a constraint on every plan, so you never restate it. • Change a finished plan by saying what you want different, and the change lands on the plan you already have. • Share a finished plan as a link, and revoke it whenever you like. • Your year in the air: let the app read where this year's photos were taken and it works out the places, the flights between them and the kilometres, then turns the year into a video made for posting — a plane crossing a globe from airport to airport. Read and drawn on the phone; the pictures are never opened or uploaded. • Friends and family, if you want it: choose an @name, send a link, and whoever accepts sees your year beside theirs — hours in the air, flights and distance, nothing else. Opt-in, and the only part of the app that puts anything about you on a server. AND WHAT IT WILL NOT DO Listed here rather than buried in the terms, because a planning tool that oversells itself is the one that gets you to an attraction that shut last spring. The pins come from an AI model and are not checked against a maps database, so a plausible-looking wrong pin is possible — check anything you are relying on. Opening times, prices and whether a place still exists are not verified. It books nothing, holds no card, and takes no commission. Planning needs no account and nothing to log into. Friends and family is the exception, and why it is opt-in: joining means choosing an @name and putting your flight totals where the friends you accept can read them. PLANNING, AND PAYING FOR IT One trip is free and stays on the phone forever. Reading it, reopening it, searching food near a stop and routing a hop stay free too. Planning another trip, or changing the first one, is where nichetravelplanner Pro starts — monthly or yearly, sold through the App Store. There is also a single plan, bought once for a fraction of a month of Pro. It does not renew, there is nothing to cancel, and it does not expire until you use it. A fair-use ceiling on plans a day, a week and a month — 20 a month at most — applies on every tier, Pro included. It bounds what the planning costs to run, and the app says so before you buy rather than after. The app is in German and Spanish, and so is the trip. Ask for four days in Lisbon in German and the days, the stops and the line explaining each one come back in German. Place names stay as they are written where they stand, because a phone held up to a taxi driver needs the name on the sign. It follows your phone's language; there is no setting to find. Friends and family. Choose an @name, send a link, and whoever accepts sees your year in the air beside theirs — hours, flights and distance, and nothing else. Opt-in, and the only part of the app that puts anything about you on a server. Opening one stop in Google Maps now searches its city as well. A café in Athens called Seychelles used to open the islands, four thousand miles away. And the first stop after a journey in knows about your luggage again: the planner has always written "after the bags are dropped", and the app had never been able to read it.
