Your location never leaves your Mac: it is matched against a locality list bundled in the app, and only the resulting town is used.

The current temperature can now sit in your menu bar, next to Wi-Fi and the clock.
It is off by default — turn it on in the app under Menu bar. You can also hide the Dock icon and launch Meteonaut at login, so the temperature is simply always there.
