Caddy 4.0 Ask your files. Open a Caddy, ask anything about the files inside, and the answer arrives with its source. Click the source to open the page it came from, with the sentence highlighted. Ask works with Apple Intelligence on a Mac with Apple silicon and macOS 27. Choose where answers are written. Apple's private cloud answers by default and keeps nothing. Turn on Local only in Settings to answer on this Mac alone. Every answer says where it was written. Keep an answer. Save it in the Caddy's Notebook with a link back to its sentence, or make study cards from a file. See what each Caddy holds. It naps while you type, rides along when you move the Caddy, and goes after the ball wherever it falls. All your pets live in one window now: Caddy Pets, in the menu bar. Right-click a pet to move it, put it away, or take a picture to share. Caddy Pets come with Caddy Club. Caddy Day. Add a pet in Caddy Pets and its first day on a Caddy gets confetti and a picture to save or share. Caddy Notebooks. Your notes live in a notebook now, one in every Caddy: unlimited pages, a cover, sections, a Contents list, one page or two at a time, four papers (legal pad too), and a PDF of the whole thing. Extra notebooks in one Caddy come with Caddy Club. Flag Caddies. Any state, any country, on the tab. Flags come with Caddy Club. Find in this Caddy. Type a word, press Return, and Caddy finds it inside your documents, not only in their names. Return again steps to the next match, across every document in the Caddy. HTML pages open in a reader of their own: fast, and drawn the way the page was made. Click the Dock icon to add a Caddy. A size for everything. Settings has a Caddy size now: Regular, Medium or Big, for the Caddies and their pets together. Medium is the new default. Parked Caddies no longer fade unless you ask them to, and their pets have a switch of their own. Smoother everywhere. A few things work differently now: • Caddy Collab is retired. A Collab you started or joined stays on your Mac as a Caddy, and it no longer syncs with anyone. To hand somebody a whole Caddy, send a Caddy Copy: one file with everything in it (Caddy Club). • Three Caddies are free. If you already have more, every one of them stays; adding another comes with Caddy Club. If you bought Caddy before 2.0, you can still add as many as you like. • Googly Eyes joins Headphones and Flower in Caddy Club. A Caddy already wearing them keeps them.

New in Version 1.2: • Fixed: closing a document could quit Caddy. • Added more room to read: Documents are given more real estate inside each workstation, which makes it easier to see full documents while taking up less of your screen. • Added a new color for your workstation panes. • Added an extra card to the introduction and fixed a bug where it would not automatically appear on some devices.
